One day, I was delivering the mail and I saw two of the grounds workers clearing out the vines. Both in short sleeves, the one was ripping it out with his bare hands, and passing it into the arms of the other who was carting it over to a big pile to be relocated. "You know that's poison ivy," I said, concerned. "No, it's not." "Yes it is. If you are allergic, go home and take a cold shower and soap yourself off. Don't use hot water, as that will open your pores and help the oils soak in. You'll probably still break out, but it wont be as bad." They argued and I went on to deliver the mail. When I came back, they were gone, and they had left the pile of debris, and the rest of the growing poison ivy. I imagine they both were covered, neck, arms, and face. Heaven help them if they went to the bathroom without washing their hands first.

She told her about the characters she might run into. Some of them she already met, but she just let Eve talk. There was Reilly, who couldn't stand the heat in Petersburg anymore and had to say his goodbyes to Nadia. He had an infortunate 'accident' in New York and was discovered missing by the cleaning staff at the Algonquin Hotel, his room being vandalised. Sasha came over to look for him. He was found at the hospital in Buffalo. That was not what he told her when she met him in the street and he offered to help her getting some damage done to a very annoying parvenue who goes by the name of Carlo. Eve seemed to think Reilly had 'a certain interest' in her. She got help toying with Carlo from Laird Anson as well, who had a minor Barony in Caithness and major business concerns both in Berlin and Hannover. She knew him from way back but before this, they never actually met. Then there was this Helga Heidelburg character. She originated from Germany and recently rented an appartment in the city. Reilly was the first to contact her and pretended to know her father.
