I will most likely be making several copies in the weeks to come. I will also be working on Enterprise's graduation ceremony I taped a couple weeks ago. I have many, many copies to produce of that. Happy Memorial Day! My name is Levi Joseph Bobbitt, I am twenty three years old. I am a survivor of lymphoma cancer. I have recovered from this form of potentially deadly cancer. After cancer I live life totally different. For one, I live a more positive life, and I don't let people walk all over me, I make myself heard and live life the way I want. I thank God for every living day I have, and I thank my friends for my second chance at life. They were my guardian angels during my battle. I have attended two years of college at Lewis-State College in Lewiston, Idaho where I majored in communications.

Extractions: Boston, MA CASE The patient is a 44 year old man who first noted decreased vision in the left eye in October 93, then in the right eye in January 94. He was examined by his ophthalmologist, who told him that he had "retinal inflammation and swelling." He was treated with prednisone 60 mg a day, and prednisolone acetate 1% every hour in both eyes. His vision improved minimally with the treatment. He also had numerous blood tests and a chest X-ray, which reportedly were all within normal limits. He was examined by a neuro-ophthalmologist, and had an MRI of the brain, which was also normal. Figure 1 These lesions were also found scattered nasally and inferiorly to the optic disc. (Fig. 2) Figure 2 Figure 3 Figure 4 Fluorescein angiogram of the right fundus showed areas of hyperfluorescence in the central macula and superior to the disc, which corresponded to some of the lesions noted on exam. (Fig. 5) Figure 5 Late frames of the angiogram showed persistence of the hyperfluorescence.

Approximately two years prior to his lymphoma, he experienced renal failure, which continued in a "mild" form for him (for the most part), and was well-controlled by diet and medication. Although his renal disease was not severe, I joined the online list for feline chronic renal failure caregivers (see the CRF web site link, below the group can be accessed through the Feline CRF Web sites home page). It was lucky for me that I did, too, because they were very supportive when I first discovered Woodrows lump, and someone on the list put me in touch with the ONELIST feline lymphoma group (this also can be accessed through the links listed below). I will discuss Woodrow's diagnosis for lymphoma; the background work I performed while waiting for his diagnosis; the treatment protocol used in Woodrow's care; and Woodrow's particular response to his treatment. I also include (in the "Links" section) some of the most useful Internet sites available at the time I was researching Woodrow's illness. If you are aware of other sites that are now available and may be useful as a resource for other people who have cats with cancer or with chronic renal failure, please e-mail me at the address below with the name of the site.
