A page dedicated to Dale Earnhardt with photo gallery.
http://members.aol.com/ddmontana2/
Welcome to my webpage! My name is Diona, or Dee, or Mommy, or ....I really have a lot of names. I prefer Dee because no one ever pronounces my name right.
This is my first webpage, so here goes nothing...
Over my short-lived web-span, I have learned to do MANY MANY things, some demented, some sane.
I am making a web page to actually prove my days are a complete waste of time. (Not a complete waste, I am honing my typing skills). Is looking at the keys a bad thing?
It's "kind of" free. I am paying for access, but what the Hell, it's a perk.
If ya'll haven't noticed, I am a huge Dale Earnhardt fan. I love racing in general.
Our local track is Mobile International Speedway . That's Mobile, Alabama for all of you that do not have the great privelege of living here.
Saturday nights are reserved exclusively for racing. A few of my favorite drivers are on my MIS page. Hope you can check them out.

10/66 Dementia Research Group
Less than one tenth of all population-based research into dementia has been directed towards the two-thirds or more of all people with dementia who live in developing parts of the world. Hence "10/66". 10/66 is a group of researchers who have linked together to try to redress this imbalance, encouraging active collaboration between research groups in different developing countries and between developed and developing countries. The 10/66 Group is part of Alzheimer's Disease International and is co-ordinated through Prof. Martin Prince from the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, London.
Some history
The first meeting of 10/66 was at the annual conference of Alzheimer's Disease International held in 1998 at Cochin in Kerala, India. This was the first international dementia meeting ever to have been held in a developing country. India and other developing regions were particularly well represented. Since then, the 10/66 Group has held symposia at every annual ADI conference - Johannesburg 1999, Washington 2000 and Christchurch 2001. Home About Alzheimer's Finding help Global impact ... Dementia Diagnostic Clinics
Obtaining an accurate diagnosis of a dementing disorder is often the most important first step made by patients and families in their efforts to secure the education and support needed to cope with Alzheimer's disease. Diagnostic clinics provide evaluation and management services to patients and their families. A typical patient will undergo neuropsychological testing, a comprehensive history and physical examination and, if appropriate, laboratory and x-ray testing during the initial evaluation. The clickable map below highlights the dementia diagnostic clinics in Wisconsin. Those affiliated with the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute are symbolized by the WAI logo and all others are symbolized by a red triangle. Clicking on a symbol will take you to a page with further information on that particular clinic. A comprehensive list of clinics follows the map. Calumet Area Memory Clinic

151. Screening For Dementia: Recommendations And Rationale
Screening for dementia. 5. Alzheimer s disease and cerebrovascular ischemia (vascular dementia) are the two most common causes of dementia.
http://www.ahrq.gov/clinic/3rduspstf/dementia/dementrr.htm
Recommendations and Rationale
Screening for Dementia
U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF)
This statement summarizes the current U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendation on screening for dementia, and updates the 1996 recommendation contained in the Guide to Clinical Preventive Services , Second Edition
Summary of Recommendation
  • The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) concludes that the evidence is insufficient to recommend for or against routine screening for dementia in older adults. Rating: I Recommendation Rationale: The USPSTF found good evidence that some screening tests have good sensitivity but only fair specificity in detecting cognitive impairment and dementia. There is fair to good evidence that several drug therapies have a beneficial effect on cognitive function (equivalent to delaying the natural progression of Alzheimer's disease from 2 to 7 months), but the evidence of their beneficial effects on instrumental activities of daily living is mixed, with the benefit being small, at best. There is insufficient evidence to determine whether the benefits observed in drug trials are generalizable to patients whose disease would be detected by screening in primary care settings. The accuracy of diagnosis, the feasibility of screening and treatment in routine clinical practice, and the potential harms of screening (e.g., labeling effects) are also unknown. The Task Force therefore could not determine whether the benefits of screening for dementia outweigh the harms.
