Thrush Ringworm Athletes foot or yeast infections get some help here
If you are having any problems with yeast or fungus such as thrush, ringworm, athletes foot or recurrent yeast infections, add 1/2 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle of your laundry. The vinegar breaks down the outside shell of the yeast to allow for the heat from the dryer to kill it completely. Doing this regularly along with other treatment will help get rid of the problem for good! The following advice was also sent into the site. Never buy Athlete's Foot products again! Look up! The sun is your perfect answer. Expose the affected areas of feet and toes to direct sunlight 1-2 times a day for approximately 1 minute, for just 2 or 3 days, and it will disappear completely!! I've been doing this successfully for 30 years!! For motre information on ringworm see the following page Just about ringworm Vinegar is a natural product that has hundreds of uses all around the home. Tipking has prepared a book called 'Great uses of Vinegar' that you can download TODAY!

Athletes Foot
Tinea Pedis is the medical name for the athletes foot fungus. This is a fungal infection that affects the feet, specifically the toe webs and soles. This dermatophyte is afungus of the ringworm family. The same fungi that causes jock itch also causes athlete's feet. These fungi thrive in warm, moist places, such as shoes. Athlete's feet is more common among males, but as more women take up exercising in gyms, and professional sports, women are being afflicted with tinea pedis as well. Athlete's Foot Fungus is communally spread. The fungus is found most often in showers that are used by many people, such as in gyms, public swimming pools, and changing rooms that have not been properly disinfected. Athlete's foot fungus also can be found in hotel bathrooms and rooms that have not been properly cleaned and sanitized. Once the fungus is picked up by the foot (or feet), it is absorbed and retained by perspiration and germs from socks and shoes. Athlete's Foot is not always preventable, but a few things will help. Disinfecting shower stalls and bathrooms before use. If you belong to a health club or use a communal changing room on a regular basis, there are rubber shower shoes that can make it less likely that the fungus will develop. Also, avoid tight fitting shoes, especially during the summer. Expose the afflicted foot (or feet) to light and air as much as possible. To treat athlete's feet, clean the feet twice daily with an antibacterial soap, thoroughly dry and apply an anti-fungal cream, powder or spray. For maximum effect, the cream or powder must contain tolnafftate or undecenoic acid. Use of these products daily for two weeks should take care of the problem. If not, consult a doctor.

Athlete's Foot www.Studenthealth.co.uk This is caused by a fungus growing between your toes (most commonly the 4th and 5th), or on the sole of your foot. It makes the skin itchy and scaly, and can turn the skin sore and red. The skin scales carry the infection and spread it in bathrooms, swimming baths, showers, towels, and bathmats or anywhere you may walk barefoot. The fungus could be picked up by the next pair of bare feet that comes along. To treat it you can get some Canesten or Daktarin cream from the chemist. This should be put on at least twice daily, and continued for 1wk after the rash has cleared up. You should expect to use it for 2-4 weeks. If this does not work see your doctor or nurse for some stronger treatment, but make sure you follow the other advice listed below. Fungi like to grow in warm moist areas, follow the measures listed below and you can do a lot to cure the problem and prevent recurrence.
  • Wash your feet regularly with soap and water. Be meticulous about drying, especially between the toes. To ensure they are dry you could use an anti-fungal talcum powder, but remember that this will not cure any infection already present.
  • Wear a clean pair of socks every day. Choose cotton instead of nylon.

ATHLETES FOOT (TINEA PEDIS) Athlete's Foot (tinea pedis) is a common form of fungal infection. Fungal infections may be caused by a number of different organisms and can appear on both the skin and the nails. It thrives in warm, damp environments (sweaty summer socks are ideal!), so with these conditions, anyone can catch it. Although the condition is harmless, left unchecked the fungus can infect toenails, making them discoloured and brittle, a problem that's more difficult and lengthy to treat. Footwear creates the necessary conditions of moisture and warmth between the toes and communal activity permits the spread of infection. Swimming baths and changing rooms are the most frequent source of infection. SYMPTOMS : Itching between the toes, especially the fourth and fifth toes. Weight Loss Secrets Red, raw looking skin, which is often itchy. Skin that flakes, peels or cracks. Sore, pus-filled, weeping rash. HOW TO PREVENT FUNGAL INFECTIONS : Wash your feet at least once a day with soap and tepid water, drying thoroughly and gently in between the toes. Choose socks made from natural fibres, preferably cotton. Change socks or stockings every day.

    Athletes Foot and Fungus Problems
Athlete's foot typically affects the skin on the feet between the toes, but can move anywhere on the foot and can affect the toenails.
Athlete's foot is an infection of the skin and the nails, usually on the feet. The infection is usually found on the skin between the toes. Sometimes the fungal infection spreads to the toenails, which become thick and distorted. Fungi are plant organisms (tinea pedis) such as mold and mildew and grow best in conditions that are moist. Bacteria may thrive as a secondary infection, which worsens the symptoms of the disorder and makes it more difficult to cure. A fungal infection is one of the most difficult nail and foot conditions to treat.
It is common to catch athlete's foot from other people who have it by walking on floors that are moist or wet (e.g. at swimming pools and in shared bathroom facilities). Athlete's foot is also much more common in people who tend to have moist feet. Athlete's foot can also be spread by sharing other people's shoes or personal care items such as towels and wash cloths.

Our unique vegetable oil formula and special manufacturing process create a bar that is an ideal medium for the dispersion of essential oils onto human skin. Once again we don't make claims, however there is a growing body of laboratory evidence to support the use of Tea Tree oil as a germ killer and fungicide. Many of us are plagued intermittently with athlete's foot, body fungi or body odor. Some people report positive results using our Aloe Tea Tree, Blue Bar, Balsam Swirl or WoodSpice products. Discontinue if irritation results. While all soaps kill germs (due to the pH, foaming, degreasing, and surface tension breaking properties of soap), some people may benefit from the herbal power of these two potent oils (Clove and Tea Tree). A first-aid kit in a bar! Many reports are coming in as to the effectiveness of Tea Tree oil, some people have reported a tolerance effect, or decrease in effectiveness when used over several months. Other things to consider: Systemic candida albicans overblooms may be a contributing factor in body fungus eruptions and some digestion related problems. Check with a medical professional. Body odor may be related to poor diet and/or digestion. Consider a cleansing fast (with medical supervision), a more vegetarian diet, probiotics (intestinal bacteria) supplementation and charcoal pills for bad breath. Deodorized garlic pills do wonders for some - without the garlic side effects. Check dosage, supplements range from 300 to 4,000 grams worth of garlic per pill.

The term athlete's foot is a highly misleading word, as this condition does not only occur in athletes. Athlete's foot is a common name given to a fungus infection of the skin in between the toes. Podiatrists may refer to this condition as Tinea Pedis. The fungus spores that are involved are called dermatophytes. The patient will experience severe pain from the condition. Symptoms include dry and itchy lesions. Patients often report a burning or stinging sensation. A common associated condition with athletes foot is a fungal nail infection. If athletes foot is not treated the lesion can become infected and extremely painful.
