I shall take them up in chronological order of their appearance, and will not comment on the guest soloists who played under them, since they were covered in the individual reviews, of which I wrote two. The class enables students to learn many aspects of journalism. Not only will they learn the basics of writing articles, but they will also learn how to use Page Maker®, how to conduct interviews, and how to layout a newspaper. In addition, they continuously learn how to work with others as a team. The class is a very independent class and students are required to work on their own without much instruction from the teacher, and they are required to make their own deadlines. Spotlight is a wonderful learning experience and will help students in their future careers. If you would like to become a patron of

But typical of Russell he then comes out with a minor classic, Whore. The Rainbow The Rainbow is the prequel of DH Lawrence's Women in Love. Whereas the novel covers many generations living through the industrialisation of North England, Russell focuses on the rites of passage of Ursula from the child looking at the rainbow through to her self-realisation. She calls herself "a bird blown out of its own latitude". As a teenager Ursula meets the dashing soldier, who almost seduces her in a church, slowly peeling off her glove, reminiscent of Brando picking up the glove in On the Waterfron t.

Robert Abele Average review score: Not that funny I was told this is one of the funniest movies of all time, I had a sinking feeling that it wasn't. But hey I gave it a shot. The movie was very well done and moved along at a rapid pace with one liners flying so fast that i probably missed most of them, considering half the time i was trying to figure out what they were referring to. Most of the jokes I could imagine my grandfather laughing at, thinking back I 'm not sure if I laughed once. I did get a kick out of Cagneys wife tho. Id say if your under 40 this movie is not going to cause you to pass out from laughter. I first saw this movie in a US Army theater in Germany in 1961. It was the first time I'd seen a movie audience applaud at the end of a movie...and for good reason. We were over there, and we knew that this film accurately depicted the times in spite of being a satiric farce. The dialogue is extemely witty, and the pacing is breath-taking. I don't buy a lot of movies, but this was at the top of my list of all-time favorite films.

Go ask Amanda-she looks like she's in a trick or treat mood- AMANDA PALMER (THE DRESDEN DOLLS): The best thing that happened to me recently was an offer from Osaka, Japan, to be a living statue outside a western-themed Christmas shopping mall. I get to bring an extra actor, and I think I'll bring Michael Pope and ask him to dress up like Christ on a Christmas-tree cross with a big red bow on his no-no. I think they'll dig it. PETER MOORE (COUNT ZERO): I was on tour recently and the opening act's van broke down on the way to the show. The driver of our tour bus was an Elvis Impersonator in his off-time. He happened to have his Elvis suit with him, and me and the other guys in my band pranced on stage during the opening band's slot, doing five Elvis songs we just learned in the tour bus. The driver sang the king's hits, and we backed him up in front of a "festival-sized crowd." They loved it. And, yup, it was August 16th-the 25th anniversary of the king's demise.
