But this is his first commercial recording - a Delos CD devoted to the music of Henryk Wieniawski (1835-1880). It's a recording, too, in which young Corey is accompanied by his equally - that is to say, phenomenally - accomplished sister Katja. Delos is thus proud to present Corey's inaugural recording, and what better and more fitting repertory to display his extraordinary talent than the romantic, virtuosic music of Henryk Wieniawski.

Extractions: Divonne Festival - Debussy's Sonate, Beethoven's Sonata op. 30, no.2 "Gifted with a rich and vibrant tone, the young Corey Cerovsek replaced the violinist Leanidas Kavakos In addition to his prowess and formidable technique you will notice the American's extraordinary maturity, the power of his presence, and his unique ability to make his violin sing in all registers." Le Progrès de l'Ain - 29 May 2003 "There is something profoundly touching about the playing of Corey Cerovsek, as if there was a voice sounding inside his violin What astonishes when viewing him on the stage is that he still appears so youthful despite his 31 years. The bow crosses the instrument without ever forcing the sound, producing a wonderful and naturally flowing play, so that it seems to be of a myriad of timbres. His elegance of bowing, his distinction of taste bring him to the same level as Nikolaj Znaider " Le Temps - 28 May 2003 Saint-Saëns' Introduction and Rondo capriccioso "Both pieces were enhanced by Cerovsek's affable, guileless stage presence, which kept the focus not on the excellence of his playing, but on the music he was sharing. His standing ovation was well-deserved." The Modesto Bee - 17 May 2003 " performed with just the right amount of passionate vehemence, tender seriousness and jubilant lightness by Corey Cerovsek's brilliant and warm violin, the beautiful, pure sound of Jean-Guihen Queyras' cello and Jérôme Ducros' friendly and high-spirited piano."
