Extractions: What is GMAT? The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is required for admission to most U.S., Canadian, and UK graduate business schools. Most students attend graduate business school for pursuing an MBA degree. However, GMAT can also be used for admission to PhD program in business major, such as Finance, Accounting, and Economics. The GMAT exam does not test any specific knowledge in business or other subjects. Rather, it tests the "mental intelligence" as well as the ability to make decision under time pressure. The GMAT now is only available on computer-based test. Extractions: Geotextiles Geotextiles form one of the two largest group of geosynthetics. Their rise in growth during the past fifteen years has been nothing short of awesome. They are indeed textiles in the traditional sense, but consist of synthetic fibers rather than natural ones such as cotton, wool, or silk. Thus biodegradation is not a problem. These synthetic fibers are made into a flexible, porous fabric by standard weaving machinery or are matted together in a random, or nonwoven, manner. Some are also knit. The major point is that they are porous to water flow across their manufactured plane and also within their plane, but to a widely varying degree. There are at least 80 specific applications area for geotextiles that have been developed; however, the fabric always performs at least one of five discrete functions: Separation Moisture barrier (when impregnated) Geogrids Geogrids represent a rapidly growing segment within the geosynthetics area. Rather than being a woven, nonwoven or knit textile (or even a textile-like) fabric, geogrids are plastics formed into a very open, gridlike configuration, i.e., they have large apertures. Geogrids are either stretched in one or two directions for improved physical properties or made on weaving machinery by unique methods. By themselves, there are at least 25 application areas, however, they function almost exclusively as reinforcement materials. Geonets Geonets, called geospacers by some, constitute another specialized segment within the geosynthetic area. They are usually formed by a continuous extrusion of parallel sets of polymeric ribs at acute angles to one another. When the ribs are opened, relatively large apertures are formed into a netlike configuration. Their design function is completely within the drainage area where they have been used to convey fluids of all types.

Extractions: Shows We are Georgetown area residents of various occupations who are certified by the Texas Department of Health as Emergency Care Attendants, Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics. We undergo numerous hours of instruction and must complete regular CE (Continuing Education) in valid content areas to keep our certification active. Many members are certified American Heart Association Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid volunteer instructors. Our purpose as a Volunteer First Responder Organization is to provide emergency medical care in conjunction with the Williamson County Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Members carry pagers and two-way radios and are dispatched by Williamson County. When a call is received, we respond in our own vehicles and carry our own medical equipment to the emergency call. First Responders deliver life saving Basic Life Support care until an Advanced Life Support EMS unit arrives, and then continue to work under their direction at the scene. We receive no monetary compensation. Georgetown Medical Assist Team is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization.

On the big day, as he finished the 31/2-hour exam at the testing center, a computer error message flashed on his screen, followed by a score in the high 500s more than 100 points lower than he had recorded on the practice tests. Eight hundred is a perfect score. "I was shocked. The more I thought about it, the only anomaly was the error message," said Kwon, a 27-year-old certified public accountant from Santa Monica, California. About 3,200 of 55,000 test-takers between August and mid-October reported seeing the error message from the Windows operating system, according to the Educational Testing Service, the Princeton-based company that administers the exam. And hundreds complained to GMAT administrators, watchdog groups and test preparation companies about lower-than-expected scores. ETS said it plans no retests or refunds for those who received the message.

The registration and scheduling policies and procedures are contained in the GMAT Information Bulletin and on the GMAT website: http://www.mba.com DANTES strongly encourages prospective military examinees to thoroughly review these two resources before registering for the GMAT CAT. The GMAT CAT includes verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing questions that the examinee answers on the computer. The examinee has 75 minutes for 37 quantitative questions, 75 minutes for 41 verbal questions, and 30 minutes for each of the two analytical writing topics. National and International Test Centers Fee: $225 DANTES reimburses eligible military examinees only the test fee after the administration of the test. Military examinees must seek reimbursement within 90 days from the test date. The examinee is responsible for scheduling the test and paying for the GMAT up-front. To determine the eligibility requirements and the procedures for requesting reimbursement of the GMAT test fee, military examinees should contact the DANTES Test Control Officer at the servicing military education center or Navy College Office.

The score they expect varies immensely from program to program. A good national school might expect 500 or 550 plus, while the top MBA programs expect you to get 600+. Similarly the GMAT averages at schools vary a lot with some MBA programs averaging 700 or more. The GMAC have offered a software package POWERPREP for the last few years. The practice exams use the same software engine that's employed by the GMAT to present test-takers quantitative or verbal questions based upon how well and how quickly a student answers the questions that have come before. However, the two mini-GMATs retrieve questions from a smaller database than the real exam does, so after three to five run-throughs, the test-taker will be asked the same questions.
