Large-scale outdoor electric lighting is a modern phenomenon that began in an era of abundant and seemingly endless energy resources. This abundance of resources led to the development of inefficient outdoor lighting designs. Problems caused by inefficient outdoor lighting are: Energy Waste and Pollution - Today, we recognize that our energy resources are limited and pollution is an increasing problem.
