Extractions: Toowoomba's Joe Perry ran his fifth "Reality Fighting" promotion in Toowoomba on the 22nd of May 2004. Fergus Balfour from Adrenalin Martial Arts had been matched with Rock Hard's Tim Olsen in fight number 10. Ferg was in good spirits on the day leading up to his MMA debut, and handled the pre-fight formalities like a pro. He soaked up the atmosphere during his first moments when he stepped in the ring, and then went to work in the first round, matching Tim standing and dominating on the ground, coming out ahead on the judges cards. The second round saw Ferg unleashing a torrid supply of leg kicks to the outside of Tim's left leg for the first two or so minutes, when Tim got his rhythm going, and came home strongly pressing Fergus with good punches, keeping him on the back foot till the final bell sounded.
