Holliday, was given some land down in Valdosta, LowndesCo, Georgia when John was about five, and that is where he was raised. 1872 Doc attended school at the Pennsylvania College of Dental Surgery [a school founded by Doc's cousin, Robert Holliday]. Doc graduated in 1872. 1 Jan 1875 Doc went to Dallas, Texas. It was there that he had his first scrape with the law. Doc Holliday and Mr. Austin, a saloon keeper, took a couple shots at each other. His turn as Lee, the wild-eyed black sheep of the family in the MTC's production of Sam Shepard's True West , has not only virtually sold out but has been earning rave reviews. His meticulous preparation for roles usually involves wandering around streets and parks observing people, looking for ideas and inspiration. "Melbourne actually provides great fodder for characters," he says. "I think it's one of my all-time favourite cities. It's full of the most amazing characters, especially the city, this square mile here. And some of the characters I encounter on a day-to-day basis just walking down Swanston Street, you know, if you put them up on stage people would say you're over-acting." On the stage a ball of intense, frustrated energy, off stage by the banks of the Yarra, Wenham is calm and easy-going. He's been kept up beyond his bedtime by the noise of post-Logies revelry, but he resisted the urge to party, keeping his focus tightly on the play.

At the Gielgud Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue, the actress Kathleen Turner, currently appearing in The Graduate, paid special tribute to Sir John at the end of the performance. The long-time New York resident temporarily has left Gotham behind for the golden shores of Southern California. "Over the years, I've lived in L.A. many, many times," he says. "But this is the first time I've lived in Venice. I'm right on the Boardwalk. It's so cool. "There's this great world outside the windows. As I talk to you, I'm looking out over the ocean. Then there's this parade of characters that marches below on the Boardwalk. It reminds me of New York. "I've just been on the East Coast. From the stage in New York, I went to Toronto to do 'Mutant X.' Now, with 'Mutant X' finishing up its third season, I thought it was time to return to L.A. I'm feeling like I'm being reborn here." Shea spent two seasons as a regular in "Mutant X," playing Adam Kane, a genetic scientist protecting a group of his mutant creations from his former employer, now determined to hunt them down. The original cast included Victoria Pratt, Victor Webster, Forbes March and Lauren Lee Smith.
