Scientific Disciplines : Anatomy; Medicine; Mcr; His name is especially connected with anatomy, particularly the skeletal system, which he summarized in Anatomes ossium novis inventis illustrata (1689). The book contains the first description of a case of what was presumably tuberculosis of the bone. He carried out morphological and microscopic investigations on human bones, using chemical reagents in order to bring out the fine structure. In 1720 he did a close study of the pneumonia epidemic raging in Rome. His study was anatomicopathological in approach and based on carefully conducted autopsies. The study led to his Relazione de' male di petto , 1720. He also published other medical works.

A Biblioteca Vaticana XVI. századi gyûjteményében akadtam rá a skót származású Segeth Tamásnak bõrkötéses emlékkönyvére. A 14×16 cm nagyságú, 125 számozott lapból álló, Vat. Lat. 9385 jelzésû vatikáni kincsrõl elõször Baumgarten tett említést a Zeitschrift für vergleichende Litteraturgeschichte Egyetemes Philológiai Közlöny 1893. XVII. évf. 233. lapján. Mindketten megjegyezték, hogy a 38. és 91. bejegyzést magyar kéz írta. Az elsõ ugyanis Thököly Istvántól, a másik Ceglédi Jánostól való. Baumgarten és Heinrich közölték ugyan Thökölynek Senecától vett idézetét, de Ceglédi héber sorait egyikük sem tudta megfejteni. Más vonatkozásban tárgyalt az emlékkönyvrõl Florio Bánfi az Archivio Storico per la Dalmazia A héber emléksorokat Umberto Cassuto, a római állami egyetem semita filológusa fordította le Florio Bánfi részére és megjegyezte, hogy Ceglédi János még nem ismerte teljesen a héber nyelvtani sajátságokat. Ugyanez a véleménye Szentiványi Róbert professzornak is.

Marini is particularly famous for his series of abstract equestrian statues, which feature a man with outstretched arms and erect penis The penis (plural penises or penes ) or phallus is the male copulatory organ, and, in mammals, the male organ of urination. It is homologous to the female clitoris, as it develops from the same embryonic structure. The penis is capable of erection for use in copulation. Most marsupials, except for the two largest species of kangaroos, have a bifurcated penis. That is, it separates into two separate columns, and so the penis terminates in two ends. The dolphin has prehensile control over his penis, so he sometimes uses it as an sensory appendage with which to probe the ocean floor. The barnacle has the longest penis for its own length: up to twenty times the length of the animal.
