He has appeared with symphony orchestras from San Francisco to Jerusalem, and in solo performances from the Brahmssaal in Vienna to Alice Tully Hall in New York City. Mr. Steinberg began his piano studies at the age of 7 and theory and composition studies at the age of 9 in his native Israel, later entering the Juilliard School in New York City as a scholarship student. As an undergraduate, he won the Juilliard Piano Concerto Competition, and was one of the first undergraduate teaching assistants to teach graduate courses. Mr. Steinberg completed his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Juilliard and earned a Doctor of Musical Arts from S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook with Professor Martin Canin. A press quote from his Town Hall recital in Saarbrucken, Germany: "A fascinating pianist; what Ori Steinberg offered overshadowed everything we heard thus far...sparkling virtuosity...glittering pearls one after the other."
