Criswell was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, May 18, 1813, and depart this life in Graham county, Kansas, at the residence of this son, Robert Criswell, Feb. 21, 1891. Grandpa Criswell was one of our old settlers, having lived in the county more than a dozen years. The funeral sermon was preached by the writer, before a large concourse of his relatives and friends.
