Jon Aaron, who had operated under the name Aaron Concert Management in Boston until 1996, has been active in the performing arts since 1980. In 1996 he sold Aaron Concert Management to Trawick Artists Management and moved the operation to New York. In February of 2000 he resigned his position at Trawick to concentrate on those areas of specific interest to him. In Boston, Aaron was responsible for the creation of a number of organizations including Charles River Concerts, to present emerging artists in Boston, and the Bosotn Early Music Festival of which he was managing director until 1990. His performance will be the fourth in the 2000-01 FLC Artist-in-Residence Program. A favorite with Durango audiences as a result of his many performances at Music in the Mountains, Reichert is a frequent soloist with all the leading orchestras in his native country, including the Jerusalem Broadcast Symphony Orchestra and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. He won the Bronze Medal at the 10th Van Cliburn International Competition in 1997, only months after he had been awarded the top prize in the first Dong-A International Piano Competition in Seoul, Korea. In addition to his concert performance, Reichert will conduct a free piano master class from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Roshong Hall. The class is open to students and teachers of piano. The Artist-in-Residence Program was started in 1995 by a small group of Durango residents who volunteered their time, financial support and expertise. The program is intended to offer Four Corners residents the opportunity to experience high-quality artistic performances, as well as to interact with artists representing a variety of genres. Furthermore, the program enhances the educational opportunities of FLC and Durango 9-R students by providing master classes, as well as performances in informal settings.

He has presented workshops for piano teachers throughout the USA, and appears frequently as soloist and lecturer at state and national music teacher conventions. For the past fifteen years, he has been on the faculty of International Workshops where he has performed and lectured in Canada, Austria, Scotland, Norway, France, and Switzerland. The "Marvin Blickenstaff Endowment Fund" was established in his honor in 2001 by the Music Teachers National Association Foundation. Now living in the greater Philadelphia area, Blickenstaff teaches at The College of New Jersey (Ewing) and the New School for Music Study (Princeton), and he serves as Board President of the Frances Clark Center for Keyboard Pedagogy.
