Extractions: NEBRASKA STATE BAR FOUNDATION ontributing Membership is the cornerstone of the Bar Foundation. This fundamental base of support helps the Foundation maintain its programs. This year, over lawyers became Foundation Contributing Members by giving a $25 donation. Annually, lawyers are encouraged to give gifts to the legal profession by sending a voluntary gift to the Foundation office. Additionally, attorneys have the opportunity to give a contribution with their Bar Dues by marking the appropriate box on the dues statement. A Contributing Certificate is presented to all first time Contributing Members for display in their office. For attorneys who annually give a $25 gift, a label for the current year is sent ready to affix to their Foundation certificate. The Board of Directors expresses it deep appreciation to the hundreds of people who financially assist the Foundation. The following lawyers are acknowledged for their philanthropic gifts. 2000 CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS Ainsworth

Extractions: The field of macrocyclic chemistry, to a large degree, had its beginnings with Professor Pedersen's discovery. A first-person account of this discovery is given as the first paper in this volume. The growth of the field since the first publication on the subject in 1967 has been enormous. Charles Pedersen lived to see much of this growth. He saw many of his own predictions of possible uses of crown ethers and related macrocycles realized. His work illustrates how one individual can make an enormous difference in science.

Extractions: 20th April 1986 - 5th May 1998 This page tells the story in words and pictures of Rufus, a Ruby Cavalier who suffered from MVD. It includes links to sites that have information on MVD (mitral heart disease) and has a comprehensive bibliography on this subject. After a long and often very distressing battle against heart disease, this valiant little Cavalier has finally passed away. Although he was a timid and nervous dog, he endured his illness with great dignity and fortitude, thus earning our undying admiration and respect. Hello! My name is Rufus and I am a Ruby Cavalier with a heart problem. I was born in Wales in 1985, and came to my home by way of Barkham in Berkshire. Good name for a puppy's place isn't it? My lady found the Ruby quote for me and said it is just right as I am as thick as THREE short planks . But I am not that stupid, and to prove it I have made this web page so you can find some links to other pages with information about Cavalier heart problems. My name means Red - I know that, and my lady sometimes calls me "Little Red Rufe" - but the children that used to play with me - they thought my name was "Rooftops!" So, who's stupid, then?
