The existing converters of solar energy based on semiconductor photocells are effective enough. And the main problem is efficiency, which would make it possible to use them more. Though, there are whole numbers of fields in which the converters can widely be used. Mobile telephone communication requires self-operating stations for feeding the antennas. In our huge country this would mean a mass production of solar batteries. The main problem is that the results of our work are wanted abroad, not here. What we have to do is to use natural resources to rebuild the industry and first of all its science-oriented branches.
