    Shlomo Mintz Cihat Askin Born in Istanbul, Cihat Askin studied with Ayhan Turan at the Turkish State Music Conservatory of Istanbul Technical University, graduating in 1989. He completed his studies in London, working with Rodney Friend at the Royal College of Music and Yfrah Neaman at City University (1992-96, doctorate program). Winner of the Istanbul Philharmonic Society Award, he participated in the Menuhin International Violin Competition in Folkstone, where he was named best interpreter of Bartok. He was also awarded the Outstanding Merit Prize in the Carl Flesch Violin Competition. A noted promoter and broadcaster of modern Turkish music, he has recorded extensively for Hungaroton, Kalan Muzik/Discovery, Meridian, CPO and UPR Classics. Cihat Askin is professor of violin and head of strings at the Turkish State Music Conservatory. Vadim Gluzman One of the most dynamic and compelling violinists of his generation, Vadim Gluzman has appeared in Carnegie Hall with the Columbus Symphony and has performed, among others, with the Chicago, Cincinnati and Detroit Symphonies, M?nchen and Dresden Philharmonic, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and Tokyo Symphony under the batons of the late Yehudi Menuhin, Neeme Jarvi, James DePreist, Dmitri Kitajenko, and Junichi Hirokami. Born in the Ukraine , Gluzman moved to Israel in 1990. He has studied with Dorothy DeLay, Arkady Fomin, Zakhar Bron and Yair Kless. Winner of the prestigious Henryk Szeryng Foundation 1994 Career Award, he plays the 1690 “ex-Leopold Auer” Strad ivari on loan to him from the Strad ivari Society of Chicago. He has recorded for BIS and KOCH and is a faculty member of the Chicago College of the Performing Arts, Roosevelt University .

    The artistic and concert agency Music Art Prague was formed in the beginning of the year 1993. The activities of the agency are focused mainly on organising music festivals. The highpoints are twice in a year - in the June where the Musica Ecumenica International Festival take place in Prague and in late summer when the International String Quartet Festival in honour of Antonín Dvoøák is organised from 29 August to 8 September.
    The audience of the Festivals has the opportunity to visit the most beautiful concert halls and churches in Prague, e.g. the Spanish Hall, Ball Game Hall and St. George's Basilica on the Prague Castle, Dvoøák's and Suk's Hall of the Rudolfinum, Smetana Hall of the Municipal House, the big hall of Žofín, B. Martinù Hall etc.
    Music Art Prague Agency collaborates with various important ensembles and soloists both from Czechia and abroad. Lets mention the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Brno State Philharmony, the Prague Chamber Orchestra, the Suk Chamber Orchestra and Mr. Josef Suk, superior Czech string quartets, violinists Václav Hudeèek and Ivan Ženatý, Jiøí Stivín and guitar-soloist Lubomír Brabec.
    Artists from seven different countries have participated on the Festival concerts, e.g. Lindsay String Quartet, Brindisi String Quartet and Delmé String Quartet from the UK, Arcus Ensemble, Hugo Wolf Quartet, A. Webern Quartet and Aron Quartet from Austria, the Israelian violinist Hagai Shaham or the Bulgarian Joan Kukuzel Orthodox Choir from Sofia etc.

    Equally accomplished as a soloist and chamber musician, violinist Ara Gregorian made his debut with the Boston Pops Orchestra in Symphony Hall in 1997 and his New York recital debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in 1996. Mr.Gregorian has made chamber music appearances at Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Carnegie Hall at the "Time for Peace" awards ceremony as well as at the Skaneateles, El Paso, and Santa Fe Chamber Music Festivals.
