Along with the four composers on the album, he promises to include a few more familiar works by Puccini and Bellini. Jonathan Allen ON Friday a musical ensemble that has specialised on early music is to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a concert at Wigmore Hall. The ensemble was formed in 1979 and was one of the first to groups to recognise the growing enthusiasm for early music and used early instruments in an effort to maintain authenticity. Under Peter Holman, as the harpsichordist and director, with violinists Judy Tarling and Theresa Caudle and Mark Caudle playing the bass viol, cello and bass violin, the group have become widely celebrated and have moved from the Renaissance and Baroque periods and have more recently embraced both 18th and 19th century music. Catherine Bott is a regular collaborator and at this concert flautist Rachel Brown also joins them for this concert. For more information ring 020 7935 2141.

He earned a degree from the Odessa State Conservatory and went on to play with the Philharmonic Society/Odessa Symphony Orchestra, with a string quartet, as Concertmaster of the Galitsky Chamber Orchestra in Ternopil, Ukraine, and with the Sixth International Music Festival "Virtuosos" in Lviv, Ukraine. He is a member of the Sacramento Chamber Orchestra and other ensembles in the Bay Area. He is the Concertmaster of the Modesto Opera Orchestra and is the violist for the Chamber Music Society of Sacramento. Back to top Victoria Ehrlich, a native Texan, studied at Southern Methodist University, the Academia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, and at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Her teachers included Robert Marsh, Bernard Greenhouse and Robert Gardner. Prior to joining the San Francisco Opera Orchestra in 1984, she played with the Santa Fe Opera, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, and was principal cellist with the Symphonies of Omaha, Richmond and Phoenix.
