We are a 30 minute walk through the beautiful countryside of Shropshire to Lilleshall Abbey and Lilleshall Hall, the National Sports Centre - both of which are actually not in Lilleshall Village itself. We meet in the old Mens Institute that was given over to the Youth of the local community under a Trust, many years ago and is now called the Youth Centre. However, it is now virtually exclusively used by the Scouts and Guides of the area. Despite the National Sports Centre being close and there being hundreds of houses within the area, we are the only Youth facility in the area.

Fund Raising Ideas Center
Fund Raising Ideas that Make You the Most Money
From small groups to large ones, we all share the same primary goal: fund raising ideas that make the most money in the shortest time period and with the least effort , to get our groups or causes the funds they desperately need. Here's a secret
Professional fund raising companies will tell you that the easiest and most effective way to raise money is to simply ask for it. That's right. No sales, no games, no pep rallies...just ask. But what happens when you've tried that path and have come up short? Then it's on to Plan Bthe old style fund raiser: bake sales, "a-thons", auctions, etc., and some cool ideas you'll find here. Of course, not all fund raising is for schools, teams or churches. Charities of all sorts need to raise money. Perhaps you need to fund that special trip overseas for your child, or for the Girl or Boy Scouts. Or, maybe you're just looking for a way to pay some bills. Ultimately, it's about more than just money; many of these fund raising projects and programs offer a valuable way to enhance school or group spirit and social interaction, and to forge new relationships. Fund raising also gives kids the opportunity to learn sales skills, build character and acquire valuable lifetime business knowledge. Some of the ideas presented here will be easy to do, while others are large, complex operations that need lots of support staff and are run like a business.

News Groups raise awareness for sexual assault
Sexual Assault Support Services has organized the Clothesline Project for Sexual Violence Prevention Week By Lisa Catto
News Reporter

April 28, 2004
Various organizations in Lane County, including Sexual Assault Support Services, the ASUO Women's Center and the Men's Center, are hosting events to raise awareness about sexual violence in conjunction with Sexual Violence Prevention Week. One of the events, the Clothesline Project, aims to "visually air society's dirty laundry," said SASS Education Program Coordinator Michelle Edwards. The national project encourages sexual assault survivors to create T-shirts expressing their experiences and thoughts, and shirts decorated by local sexual assault victims and allies will be on display in the EMU Concourse through Thursday. Edwards said she hopes the project and other events this week will enable sexual assault survivors to educate themselves on services and become involved for the remainder of the year. She said many people don't realize that a large percentage of people have experienced sexual assault.
