pins4sale.com pins4trade.com Home Page Pins for Sale ... Credits Inside these pages you will find all sorts of Olympic pins from past, present and future Olympic Games. We have been collecting and trading Olympic Pins since 1995, just prior to the Atlanta games. In 1998 we created our first web site to facilitate our pin trading hobby. Realizing that not everyone has Olympic pins to trade and with the rise of shopping on the internet, we have added a shopping cart to allow you to safely and securely purchase pins using your credit card. With the Athens 2004 games coming in just days, Athens 2004 Pins are sure to be popular. These pins often sell out fast so check back periodically for new releases. Don't let our low prices scare you! Since we consider ourselves pin collectors/traders first and pin dealers second, you will find our pins to be considerable less expensive than elsewhere on the web. Basically, we charge enough to pay our expenses of keeping this site running. We figure the more of you that have pins, the more pin traders there will be. Pin trading is a wonderful hobby enjoyed by people of all ages from all over the world. Enjoy your visit.. Show me the pins Happy Pin Collecting

Yachting On Sept. 5, with six days left in the Games, eight Arab commandos slipped into the Olympic Village, killed two Israeli team members and seized nine others as hostages. Early the next morning, all nine were killed in a shootout between the terrorists and West German police at a military airport. They went on without 22-year-old swimmer Mark Spitz, who had set an Olympic gold medal record by winning four individual and three relay events, all in world record times. Spitz, an American Jew, was an inviting target for further terrorism and agreed with West German officials when they advised him to leave the country. The pall that fell over Munich quieted an otherwise boisterous Games in which American swimmer Rick DeMont was stripped of a gold medal for taking asthma medication and track medalists Vince Matthews and Wayne Collett of the U.S. were banned for life for fooling around on the victory stand during the American national anthem.

Olympic fortress: Pentagon pulls out stops for safe Games
(CNN) Forget an ounce of prevention. Think tons. Vault-like. Whatever conjures images of impenetrability or extreme defense, the Pentagon has provided it in Salt Lake City, Utah, to make the Winter Olympics as safe as possible. As the hour nears for the Opening Ceremony on Friday night an event President Bush will attend the local airport will halt all air traffic. The same will happen during the closing ceremony. Starting Friday, airspace will be restricted in a 45-mile radius around Salt Lake City. All small aircraft will need special clearance to land there, and they will first have to travel to one of four nearby gateway airports and undergo security sweeps. Monitoring airspace over the 110-by-35-mile swath of Utah where Olympic events will be held is a major part of the overall effort. The North American Aerospace Defense Command will conduct combat air patrols over the area, using F-16 fighters.
