Regardless of your age or where you train, or whether you want to build build muscle or reduce fat, the training information you need is pretty much the same. By following an abbreviated/Hardgainer training routine you can realize your fitness goals.
Why is this site called Hardgainers- home -gym?
When I started weight training I did so in a commercial gym. Soon I found that the gym scene detracted from my workouts. I setup a home gym for the cost of one years subscription to a commercial gym and started using Hardgainer style routines. I believe these two changes gave me the the gains I was striving for. The information you will find here works particularly well for the home trainee with little time to workout. Don't be fooled though, just because the routines are abbreviated does not mean they are easy.. They are what YOU put into them. What is a Hardgainer

Urèitì to bude stát zato!

Weight Lifting Fly on the Wall...
Everything here is straightforward, and time will soon tell whether it works for you or not. That is one thing I like about the sports of weightlifting and powerlifting, it is easy to gauge what works and what doesn't in an objective manner. Either you lift more weight, or you don't. That being said, what follows is that which has fallen into the former category. The title of the page is strong, big, and smart. That is what I can hopefully help you to become. This site will help you out in the 'smarts' department, which when applied with some intensity, consistency, and determination should help you along tremendously in the other two...
ROUTINES
This section outlines the routines that I have used along the way. It covers everything from the old Russian routine that has been around for ages to the current routines that I use, which are mainly Olympic weightlifting workout schedules and hybrids of Pavel/Ditillo stuff geared towards strongman with a little bit of Dinosaur training, HIT, and some of the Westside system mixed in for good measure...

http://www.sportingwheelies.org.au/sport/powerlifting.htm
Powerlifting was one of the original sports included in the range available to sportsmen with a disability, and has grown since the 1950s to include women’s competition. For athletes with vision impairments, competition consists of the Bench Press, Squat and Dead Lift. For all other disabilities (wheelchair, cerebral palsy, amputee, les autres), athletes compete in the Bench Press. Athletes are placed in divisions based on body weight and are separated between male and female weight divisions. M F
Competition lifts:
Bench Press
The lifter lies on a bench and the bar is supported on racks behind the lifter’s head. The bar is taken from the racks at arms’ length, lowered to the chest and pressed back to arms’ length. Squat
The lifter must assume an upright position with the top of the bar not more than 3cm below the top of the anterior deltoids, the bar across the shoulders in a horizontal position, hands gripping the bar, feet flat on the platform. Deadlift
The bar must be laid horizontally in front of the lifter's feet, gripped with an optional grip with both hands and uplifted with one continuous motion until the lifter is standing erect.

Brother Bennet was one of the original founding members of powerlifting and the drug testing powerlifitng movement. Brother Bennet worked tirelessly to build powerlifting into the sports that it is. Steve was the meet director this year for the JO Games, and is a co-meet director along with Barbara Beasley, Judy Wood, and Jill Meads for the World Championships. Many times, you don't see Steve, that's because like Brother Bennet, he is behind the scenes putting in countless hours of work building the sport. If you missed the World Championships this year, don't be left out next year. Virginia has really started something. Barbara Beasley (the 2002 Brother Bennet Award winner) Steve, Judy, and Jill put on the 2002 World Championships. This meet was thought to be one of the best meets in the country and they did it again this year.

Maryssa, reigning champion of the 25-lb bodyweight class, demonstrates correct use of alternating grip in the deadlift.
the basics of powerlifting
While still somewhat confined to the realm of obscurity, powerlifting is a growing sport, particularly for women. It is estimated that about 10% of competitive PLers are women. Part of the appeal of PLing lies its relative simplicity: it is a one-person activity, the lifts can be fairly easily learned (though it takes a while to fully master them), equipment is minimal, and meets generally consist of a few people getting together with a barbell and a scorecard. For women, PLing is also inviting because competitors are divided into gender, weight, and age classes, which means that each person is only competing against those like them. At most lower levels of competition, men and women compete in the same event (though not against one another), in numeric order by bodyweight, and this tends to result in a feeling of collegiality and mutual respect. There are three lifts used in PLing: the squat (aka the back squat), the bench press, and the deadlift. While different federations have different rules, here are some rough guidelines for each lift. For more detailed instructions, make sure to check the rulebook of each PL federation or organization.
