Welcome to the Wolverine Nordic Ski Club We are a non profit group that promotes nordic skiing in and around Gogebic County, which is located in Michigan's upper peninsula near the town of Ironwood. Our location, in the middle of the Lake Superior snow belt called Big Snow Country, provides us with snow that tends to arrive earlier, pile deeper, and last longer than anywhere else in the Midwest! Abundant snow, coupled with the natural rolling terrain in our northern hardwood forest, makes for a wonderful winter experience. So bring your skis or snowshoes and give us a try. Our trail system consists of five different loops that provide 17 kilometers of skiing for both striders and skaters. We operate on a donation basis and since all of our funding comes from memberships and donations, we ask that you please remember us when you pass by the donation boxes located at all major trailheads and our chalet. The Ravens edged out the Augustana University of Alberta by 7-points to earn their third CCUNC Title in four years. Carleton's Women's Nordic Ski team finished second, behind Lakehead University. The Ravens David Zylberberg , with a point total of 198.6 and Skeets Morel , with a point total of 197.3, finished in the Top Six and earned All-Canadian honours. The Women did not place any skiers in the Top Six. The Ravens Women's Relay team of Eva Szabo, Erika Langman and Megan McTavish won the 3 x 3.75km race with a time of 300.
