What we're about: There are kitesurfing destinations around the world that just have to be experienced! Kitesurfing as a sport has grown phenomenally over the past three years. More and more adrenaline seekers are getting into kiteboarding as an exciting alternative to wakeboarding and windsurfing. Few other sports offer the same rush that you get from boosting big air or even just cruising along with the feeling you only get from being in harmony with the elements. KiteH2O consists of two kitesurfers who enjoy travelling all over the world searching for the best kitesurfing destinations. Our aim is to make travelling to the top kitesurfing destinations really easy for everyone whether you are a beginner who hasnt kited before or an advanced kitesurfer who is looking for serious action. We have been to most of the spots covered here and our aim is to constantly bring you new spots or kiteboarding destinations that we discover. We often get good deals and discounts that we then pass on in our newsletter. If you have a spot that you would like to see included in kiteH2O then please mail us the details and we will happily include it! We'd love to come check it out as well. We have tried to give you all the info you need including information on the launch conditions, climate, wind conditions, travelling and transport, accomodation at the destination, as well as the nightlife at the destination (quite important). We have searched for the top kitesurfing destinations from the Caribbean to the Red Sea and you can be sure that we will only place a destination here if we think it deserves to be mentioned. KiteH2O is a non commercial site. This is a site done by kitesurfers, for kitesurfers.

Cabarete Kiteboarding Info
Photo of Cabarete's Kitebeach by Mike Scribner of adrenalineairforce.com Where to kitesurf: Cabarete has one main spot for kiteboarding: the officially designated Cabarete Kite Beach Then there are a few other good places to the East and to the West of Kitebeach. ' Bozo Beach ', located between Cabarete and Kitebeach is where the Kiteboarding World Championship (2001), World Cup (2002) , and World Cup (2003) took place. Encuentro Beach which is very popular with regular surfers in the mornings when the waves are best, is still a great place for wave riding in the afternoon when the winds pick up. La Boca de Yasica is a great place with 100% flat waters and once you played around for a while you can kite back to Cabarete by going downwind with the trade winds for about 6km. However, only experienced kiters should venture on this one. There are a few other places that locals will be happy to point out to you.

34. KITESURFING INFORMATION, (aka Kite-Sailing, Kite-boarding).
Nobody knows what kiteboarding will look like in the future. Selecting the right gear is a crucial part of successful kiteboarding. Twoline or Four Line ?
http://www.maui.net/~hotwind/kite2.html
KITESURFING INFORMATION WHAT IS KITESURFING
Kitesurfing is the natural evoloution of extreme windpowered watersports. Combining traits of windsurf and wakeboard, the powerful air-foils and lightweight boards give the kiteboarder higher performance capabilities than ever before. In its short but exciting history kitesurfing has brought together the most exciting components of other extreme sports. The simplicity of the kite-board concept allows every rider the ability to create their own ride styles that reflect their creative imagination and personal expression. With every new move the definitions are changed and the sport continues to expand in posibility. Nobody knows what kiteboarding will look like in the future. But already at the present time kiteboarding has expanded into snow-kiteboarding and has taken new directions into foil-boarding and land-boarding.
"The kitesurfer, flies forty feet in the air above huge bone crunching waves in Hawaii's famous surf. He approaches the wave at blistering speed and launches himself from the crest of the oncoming wave. He leaps high into the air where he hangs effortlessly suspended from his wing and dances as gracefully as a bird, soaring and looping, he defies gravity until he softly descends, and challenges the next wave. Returning to shore he rides the wave with the agility of a surfer.
This aerial ballet is the manifestation of the new water sport of Kitesurfing. Kitesurfing is like a cross between windsurfing, wake boarding and paragliding, kitesurfers control a wing of lightweight fabric, which pulls them across the water or above it. The sport is fast becoming the center of attention on the world water sports stage as pre-conceived limitations are regularly being shattered."
