23. Hiking In New Hampshire
Describes several day hike destinations, most are located in the central and southern parts of the state. Includes photos and directions to trailheads, and basic hiking information.
http://www.hikingnh.milford.nh.us/
Welcome to the Hiking in New Hampshire web page. This page is designed to offer free information on places to go hiking. Although there will only be a few places described to go hiking, I do hope to expand in the future as I complete more hikes. I am hoping to expand into other states sometime in the future. All hikes, though, will remain in the New England area and, for the time being, in New Hampshire. To the left you will find links to the information on places to hike and to some information on what you need to know before you go hiking. I will try to keep pictures of these hikes on separate pages to allow for faster downloads. To help those who wish to print the pages, I have included a link on each page to a separate page that you can print from. I have included a link to www.freetrip.com to help people receive approximate directions to the hiking spots. If you have any questions, comments, or ways to improve this page, then Email me using the mail to link at the bottom of the page. Webmasters, if you wish to add a link to this site then email me first please.

24. Hawaii Hiking Gallery
Provides a personal collection of pictures from several trails including some of the more difficult hikes.
http://www.rcarchive.com/hhg/
The Hawaii Hiking Gallery is a collection of pictures and writeups from various hikes in Hawaii. Currently, all the hikes on this site are on the island of Oahu. Enjoy the pictures, but for a real thrill, get out there and try some of these hikes for yourself. No picture can compare to the real thing. The Hiker's Guide to O'ahu , written by Stuart M. Ball Jr. is an excellent book to help you find the trails on this island. Enjoy your stay and don't forget to drink plenty of liquids. Castle difficult A mean ridge hike in Punalu'u Valley Ma'akua Gulch medium Hike up the spectacular narrow gulch with near vertical walls to nice swim holes and waterfalls. Ka'au Crater medium Did you know there is a crater in Palolo Valley? Check it out and enjoy the nice waterfalls along the way. Waimano Pool medium Popular hike to 3 swim holes. Reach the pools and go take a dive. Located in Pearl City. Pu'u Manamana difficult A death defying, "test your nerves" kind of hike with steep cliffs located by Kahana Valley. If you want a challenging hike, this is for you. Hawaii Loa Ridge medium Reach the Koolaus via this hike that starts at the top of Hawaii Loa Ridge.

WINTER HIKING
There's probably a few good reasons to hang up the hiking boots during the WinterI just can't think of one ! Many of the trails that we travel in Spring, Summer, and Fall are also available during the Winter. Many public parks, cities, and towns maintain trail systems which remain accessible for Winter hiking and even snowshoeing. Some have special rules that apply to Winter use so check with them for specifics. If nothing else, it's a great way to keep those hiking muscles active. Many lowland backcountry trails are also available year-round, albeit muddy. Trails in the mountains, (although buried in deep snow) are also traversable (with the help of some special gear). With some additional education, training, and gear, there's no reason we can't be just as actively hiking in the Winter as in the other three seasons. Check it out ! Find out what's available in your area. You might be surprised at the possibilities. For the higher elevations, why not try snowshoeing ?
