Traditional Scottish event held annually in Bathgate. Includes entry forms, location, links and guestbook.

Saturday 29th May 2004, starting 11am at Meadow Park, Bathgate. The Golden Lions freefall parachute team will be doing a display at the games this year...
BATHGATE HIGHLAND GAMES HOW IT ALL BEGAN A factual account
Passing through villages, advertising highland games, on our return from the Cowal games in 1972, Alex suggested that we could have our own games in Bathgate. The committee decided to choose a neutral chairman, and Mr. William Bishop, a retired councillor and ex-piper with West Calder pipe band was elected, a position which he held for 3 years. Jim McLeod of the Palais Dance Hall let us have the use of his establishment to hold a fund raising ceilidh, which went well. The British Championships were held in Bathgate for 11 years before the R.S.P.B.A. started moving it around. Alex Samuel and George E. Baxter S.B.St.J. May they rest in peace.
