    Membership The HCC is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. The HCC critically depends on its dues to meet expenses. Dues are $25 per family. Membership benefits include participation in HCC coordinated trips, the newsletter, vendor discounts and the opportunity to float great Texas rivers with great people.
    HCC members who paddle more than two HCC coordinated trips per year must also be members of the American Canoe Association to maintain the benefits of HCC's status as a Paddle America Club.     April 16-18, 2004 This 14th annual event is a full weekend immersed in the history, technique, hands-on experience and FUN of canoeing and kayaking. The Festival will include lectures, on-water classes and demonstrations directed to the novice as well as the experienced paddler.

    To many, the heart of the Festival is the simultaneous running of four classrooms throughout the 3-day event. You will have an opportunity to meet and learn from experts such as Greg Barton, Lena Conlan, Jeff Cooper, Wayne Dickert, Ken Fink, Bob Foote, Wayne Harodowich, Karen Knight, and Mark and Becky Molina, as well as other knowledgeable paddle sport enthusiasts. A wide variety of topics include slide shows of exotic paddling locations, how-to sessions on navigation, selecting or repairing equipment, and preparing gourmet cuisine fresh from your dry bag. Commercial Exhibits Over 40 commercial exhibitors will be on-hand to give you a chance to try before you buy! You'll be able to test boats, paddles and accessories on the water at the Festival site. You'll also have the opportunity to talk with equipment designers and manufacturers throughout the weekend.
