- ANNOUNCEMENTS -
The regular monthly meetings on the last Tuesday of each month meet at Outdoor World, just west of I-95 between Griffin Rd. and Stirling Rd. From I-95, take Griffin west a short distance, past the train tracks, to the 1st traffic light, Anglers Avenue / Ravenswood Rd. and turn left onto Anglers Avenue. Make another left at the 1st traffic light and follow the curving road past the train tracks to Outdoor World, a huge store on the left. Once in the store, follow the signs on the floor to the bathrooms, at the back of the store toward the right. There are 2 doors, the left one to the bathrooms. Go through the right door instead, turn right, and go past a small conference room into a larger conference room. That's where we meet. Sign-ups for future outings start at 7 PM, the main meetings start at 7:30, then there are usually speakers, and then some people go afterward for a snack at the restaurant there.

125. Kayaking And Canoeing In British Columbia
One of the more interesting ways to enjoy the beauty and wilderness that are British Columbia is to canoe and kayak the lakes, rivers and the inlets throughout
http://www.bcadventure.com/adventure/kayaking/
The people, who live in British Columbia, are truly fortunate, with some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. The different mountain ranges act as backdrops painting a canvas of blues and purples, the forests are a melting pot of greens and the lakes are hues of azure and deep navy blues. The coastline with the Pacific Ocean at its door step forms long, deep fjords and inlets that are teeming with fish and the lands are abundant with wildlife. The different topography and elements of this land are amazing and unmatched. One of the more interesting ways to enjoy the beauty and wilderness that are British Columbia is to canoe and kayak the lakes, rivers and the inlets throughout the province.

Florida Canoeing and Kayaking Paddle power! That is the way more and more people are discovering Florida. And, when you take time to slow down, relax and explore part of the Sunshine State from the seat of a canoe or kayak, you will find there are miles of slow moving, wildlife laced rivers to discover and vast stretches of marsh and mangrove lined coastline where kayakers and canoeists can see dolphins and manatees while fishing for redfish and snook as ospreys and pelicans fly overhead.
Florida is blessed with over 1700 rivers, 40 of them major ones, hundreds of miles of low energy shoreline in the Big Bend region along the west coast and thousands of places among the mangrove forested southwest coast and Florida Keys to poke and probe. A place to paddle, whether it's for a few hours or a few days, is never far away. Many of these sites include some of the last wilderness areas east of the Mississippi. They are magical places where you can get close to wildlife and experience true isolation. This site is your doorway to all that you will need to know about how, when, and where to paddle Florida.
