The age range if from 8 upwards - although most members are 12+ and we have a good spread of ages with many adult members. The club is active in whitewater paddling (freestyle, river running and kayak surfing) and junior canoe polo - but we also welcome people who just want to get and enjoy being on the Thames . The club has been helped and supported by Chiswick Pier Trust, Sport England, the BCU, Active Ealing, Hounslow CIP and the London Marathon Trust. We work with Kayackojacko -a local company committed to coaching excellence in many types of canoeing and this has helped us to expand our programme. New members of any age (8 +) or ability are always welcome. Assistance is provided to take people as far as they want to go in different parts of the sport. We are committed to developing all aspects of canoeing and helping people to make more use of the Thames. Look under Cool Stuff to find photos of recent club activities and more. Sunday sessions at Chiswick Pier run from 11am - 1pm. These usually involve a trip towards either to Fulham or Kew - depending on the tide. All abilities are welcome - although it's best to call first on 07973 414 537 to let us know you are planning to turn up. You could also join us on a Saturday pool session which 4.30 - 6.30 every week in Acton Baths, where you can meet some of our coaches and members and try a boat. We teach rescues, rolling and basic skills at the pool.

one of the most popular tourist destinations in southern Thailand. Every day over a dozen canoeing tour companies and countless independent tour operators take tourists to a few well-known locations in Phang Nga Bay. The result is similar to road traffic in Bangkok. It's noisy, congested, and chaotic. The tourists see the famous "hongs", or inner island lagoons in some of the islands, and make the obligatory trip to see "James Bond Island". We avoid everywhere that others go. Each of our trip leaders has paddled extensively in Phang Nga Bay since 1993. No one in southern Thailand has more paddling experience! We have a licensed Thai tour guide and a Western tour leader accompanies every trip too. Phang Nga Bay is a large, lovely area

On these pages we intend to tell you a little of who we are and what we do. We are a small friendly club of about 50 members catering for all levels of canoeing and kayaking ability. We meet on Tuesday evenings at Splott Swimming Pool in Cardiff and new members are always welcome. We currently have members with interests in White Water Paddling, White Water Racing, Surfing, Sea Kayaking, Rodeo, Coaching and Open Canadians. Counter to popular rumour it is not compulsory to own a campervan to become a member. However, if you do own one you will find yourself with many new friends, all promising that they haven't really got smelly feet. The club organises many away trips to rivers in North Wales, West Wales, Dartmoor and various beaches around the country as well as running the local rivers. Most years some of the club head off to the Alps (French or Austrian) for paddling in warmer climes. Latest News Wye Sleep Over - or how to make Ross to Symonds Yat interesting!
