Cyclists Make Better Lovers, Says BICYCLING Magazine EMMAUS, Pa., July 21 /PRNewswire/ Everyone knows that cycling keeps you fit and healthy, but can it improve your sex life? According to the August issue of BICYCLING magazine, new research indicates that despite the concerns about impotence, the average cyclist may actually enhance sexual performance with cycling. The article, authored by contributor Joe Kita, a senior writer for Men's Health magazine, says cycling may make you more attractive to the opposite sex. Kita notes that while even BICYCLING has warned of the dangers of excessive cycling as a possible link to impotence, the average cyclist has little to fear if they use common sense. "Will biking cause impotence for the average cyclist? Does that risk outweigh the sport's cardiovascular benefits?" asks Harin Padma-Nathan, M.D., clinical professor of urology at the University of California School of Medicine. "The answer is no on both counts." So what are the sexual benefits of regular bike riding?

24. Bicycling In The Fort Worth Area And Texas
Guide to cycling events, group rides and trails.
http://www.flash.net/~jtrobert/bike.htm
Bicycling in the Fort Worth Area and Texas
Fort Worth, Texas is a great place for recreational cycling as well as bicycle rallies. The following is a list of cycling events, training rides, and bicycle trails in the Fort Worth Area. I have not been able to ride very much this year due to my work schedule, but plan to put in more miles in 2000. If you have any questions, comments, or any feedback, feel free to e-mail John Roberts. Texas has such a wonderful, warm climate that we can cycle year-round. In the winter, most days are cool, but usually not cold. In July and August the temperatures are usually around 100 degrees in the afternoons. However, if you ride in the early morning, you can finish before it gets too hot. I apologize for not posting updates more regularly. There has been an illness in the immediate family that has kept me from cycling a great deal. I hope to provide more listings of rides in 2002.

25. National Center For Bicycling & Walking And The Active Living Resource Center
The National Center for bicycling Walking (NCBW) works to make communities more bicycle friendly and walkable. Formed as the Bicycle
http://www.bikewalk.org/
In healthy communities , walking and bicycling are a normal, routine part of daily life. In these 'active community environments' the community leaders and citizens recognize that providing for active living through community design is a health issue as well as a quality of life issue.
This site tells you how to help create neighbor-hoods and communities where people walk and bicycle. This doesn't just mean sidewalks, bikelanes and trails, though these will certainly be elements of an overall plan.
Creating active community environments means taking a look at the broader scope of where there are and aren't opportunities to walk and bicycle safely, easily, and conveniently.
It involves land use planning transportation schools parks , safety, and much more.
If you're just getting started in making your community a more physically active place, we suggest you first

Ride of the Month - May
The featured ride for the month of May is #189 Perinton Peaks. The purpose o f the "Ride of the Month" is to introduce people to the Rochester Bicycling Club. Tell your friends about this ride and bring them with you. Non-members can even go the RBC web site and download this map . About the ride: it is so named because it does climb several of the Perinton hills. The views from the peaks are breath-taking. Most of the route is rolling hills, with the exception of Sweets Corners and Bluhm Rd. However the downhill payback on both these is worth it. The entire route is 40 miles. There is a cut at 26 miles for those short of time (or short of breath!). There are two food stops. One at Canandaigua Rd and Gananda Parkway. And the other on Hogan Rd. We usually stop and regroup at these locations. The date of the ride is Saturday, 22 May. The ride starts from Fellows Road Park at 10:00am. Try to arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early to allow time to unload your bike and talk. So download the map and check it out. I hope to see you and your friends there!
