Aerobics can be defined as any physical exercise that increases the heart rate and increases the body's intake of oxygen long enough to benefit the condition of the human body. Performing simple activities such as walking, running, dancing, and swimming are defined as doing aerobic exercises. This type of exercise had been around for several years until they were taken to yet another level which is known today as Water Aerobics. The last and probably most important benefit of water aerobics is that almost anyone, no matter their age, can perform water aerobics. The reason for this is because the water causes your body to be buoyant, thus causing less strain and stress on your joints and muscles. Don't worry, though, you still get the maximum work out when you perform water aerobics. A person does not need to know how to swim in order to take advantage of water aerobic exercises either. He or she can wear one of many devices that will enable them to stay afloat with little effort. This is turn enables the person to be able to concentrate on his or her routine. Plus, it helps to eliminate the fear of a mishap in the water, especially in the deep water.

The Fighting arts of the Philippines are deeply rooted in the history and culture of the Filipino people. They are the products of a highly developed civilization which flourished long before the arrival of the West upon its shores, and of centuries of warfare against a variety of oppressors. Both these factors are responsible for the highly technical and pragmatic outlook of the Filipino martial arts. The Maharlikas was the original name of the Philippines before the coming of the Portuguese and Spanish in the 15 th and 16 th centuries. The general consensus among scholars is that the first settlers in the Philippines were the Negritos of prehistory. It is theorized that these small dark-skinned people traveled by land from Central Asia, perhaps via an ancient land bridge. They brought with them the short bow and later developed the long bow. This process was followed by a series of Malay migrations from what is today Southeast Asia and the Indonesian Archipelago. The first of these began before the birth of Christ.

Water aerobics are exercises in which the basic principles of aerobics are transferred to water. Music sets the speed and rhythm of exercise movements. The heart rate is monitored before, during, and after exercise. The aerobic cycle of warm up, peak, maintain, taper, and cool down is just as important in the water. What is the information for this topic? People have been exercising in water for many years. More and more healthcare providers are recommending it. Until very recently, it was most common as a way to rehabilitate the body after an injury. Water aerobics is often used as therapy. It helps strengthen the body while the person is surrounded by the soothing element of water. The body is reintroduced to movement by repeating slow, deliberate exercises. The exercises help mobilize stiffened joints and tone muscles that have not been used much because of the injury or disease. Many conditions can helped by water aerobics. These include: rehabilitation after injury arthritis , because limbs that are hard to move on land become much more agile in the water tight muscles, which become more relaxed in water

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusets (AP) It's three o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and the small crowd gathered in the dimly lit nightclub is pumped and sweaty. But these clubgoers aren't in a mosh pit at a rock concert they're working out, sweatin' to oldies that don't quite meet Richard Simmons' standards. In Punk Rock Aerobics, exercisers jump, head-bang, kick and punch to hits by The Ramones, Sex Pistols and other indie-rock favorites. There's no gym, no mirrors, no dress code, and, "No more sucky classes full of brain-dead bimbos in spandex thongs," according to the Web site. "At first I was skeptical," said Amy Monaghan of Boston. "But then you get moving and it's really fun." Having fun while getting a workout is what Punk Rock Aerobics is all about, according to its creators.
