    Memorial Page
Over the years, with the first officer's death recorded in 1921, 35 officers have given their lives for the residents of the State of New Hampshire.
One day in August of 1997, law enforcement in the State of New Hampshire suffered a tremendous blow. Two New Hampshire State Troopers were shot and killed in the line of duty by a deranged male who later went on to kill two more people and injure several other officers before being stopped. A few days later, the same scenario was again replayed, and a young police officer in Epsom was shot and killed.
These events caused this site to be created by a police officer who wanted to show his respect to fellow law enforcement officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice. This is a private site and not affiliated with any one group.
In 1993, the dream of a Memorial to the fallen officers became a project. Many people and organizations have worked hard and contributed money to help bring this memorial to a reality.
The New Hampshire Law Enforcement Monument is located, fittingly, in front of the Legislative Office Building (LOB) in Concord, our State's Capitol.

Last updated: 04 June 2004 Welcome to the home page of the Law Commission for England and Wales
    Mission Statement
We were set up in 1965 to keep the law of England and Wales under review and to recommend reform when it is needed. There is a similar body for Scotland.
Our aim is to promote the reform of the law.
We publish provisional proposals for consultation and comment, and in the light of the responses we receive we lay our final recommendations before Parliament.
The role of the Law Commission contributes to the aim of the Department for Constitutional Affairs to build fair, effective and accessible justice services and to modernise the law and constitution.
The Chairman and four other Commissioners are appointed by the Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs and Lord Chancellor (LCA 1965, s 1(1)).
Proposed Ninth Programme of Law Reform We are currently working on suggestions for new work to include in our proposed Ninth Programme of Law Reform. Further information can be found on the page "About the Law Commission" : click here Review of the Law Commission In 2003 a Quinquennial Review took place.
