The CIA's Great Gatsby PARADE
September 18, 1993 by Edward Jay Epstein Within a year, three witnesses in an investigation died. Rafael Villaverde. a Cuban refugee. disappeared at sea after his speedboat exploded off the coast of Florida; Kevin Mulcahy. an electronics expert. was found dead in an isolated motel in the Shenandoah Valley-apparently a victim of exposure; and Waldo Dubberstein, an archaeologist and expert on the Middle East, died of a shotgun blast to his head-a presumed suicide. All three had worked for the CIA and, in the mid 1970s. became involved in mysterious conspiracies plotted by a former CIA agent named Edwin P. Wilson. A series of investigations by various federal agencies, begun in 1976 led to Wilson's indictment in 1980 and disclosed the following pieces of a murderous puzzle. Villaverde, who had served the CIA as a saboteur in Cuba, was recruited by Wilson as a hired gun and promised a million dollars for an assassination in Egypt. Mulcahy, a CIA specialist in secret communications technology. was hired to supervise the smuggling of electronic and military equipment. Dubberstein, an ex-CIA man whose subsequent work for the Pentagon included compiling the daily military intelligence summary for the Secretary of

EDWIN HOWLETT WILSON
From "The Storied Province of Quebec Past and Present"
Ed. Col. William Wood, Dominion Publishing Company, Limited, Toronto 1931

Prominant business executive and citizen of Montreal, Edwin H. Wilson has had a career of usefulness to the greater community. He is widely known in the Dominion. Edwin H. Wilson was born September 6, 1875, in Montreal, son of James Crockett Wilson and Jeanie Kilgour , and received his academic instruction in the public schools of his native city. In 1892, at the age of sixteen, he left Montreal to work in his father's paper mill, at Lachute. He engaged actively in the workings of all departments therin, beginning as a junior clerk, acquainting himself with the business from all points of view. in 1899, at his father's death, he took charge of the mills. His brother, Frank Howard Wilson , two years his senior, took charge of head office in Montreal. In 1893 mill production was doubled and again in 1901. In 1913, the Wilson plant at 1061 St. Alexander Street, Montreal, was built, and today, in this plant, are employed five hundred workers. There are other units for paper manufacture and sale in Winnipeg, Vancouver, Lachute and St. Jerome. The company is the largest of it's category in the Dominion. They manufacture wrapping paper, paper bags, toilet paper, envelopes etcetera; and the volume and mill efficiency attained has been largely due to the ability of Mr. Wilson. In 1928, on the illness of his brother, Edwin H. Wilson became president and assumed full charge of the corperation's business. He has continued in charge, and it's affairs have prospered well under his direction.

Home Page Biology Chemistry Physics ... Contact Us Edwin Powell Hubble (1889-1953) Edwin P Hubble So, who was Edwin P Hubble? The son of Virginia and John Hubble, Edwin was born at Marshfield, Missouri, USA, on 20th November, 1889. Edwin seems to have been particularly close to his paternal grandfather, and his grandfather once had an article by the twelve year old Edwin published in a local newspaper. Not surprisingly, the article was about Mars. What sort of education did Edwin Hubble receive? Edwin went to Wheaton High School, as his father had an office in Chicago. At school he had a talent and interest in athletics and football. On graduation from Wheaton, he was awarded a half-fees scholarship to the University of Chicago, where he studied physics, astronomy and maths. He was awarded his B.S. degree in 1910 and then was given a prestigious Rhodes scholarship to study law at Queen's College, Oxford. Back in America, he passed the bar examination in 1913 and became an attorney at Louisville, Kentucky. What did he do next?

Ed Wilson's Revenge
The Biggest CIA Scandal in History Has Its Feet in the Starting Blocks in a Houston Court House
by Michael C. Ruppert
[The following article appeared in the January, 2000 issue of From The Wilderness - The following is written after examining more than 900 pages of documents, in four volumes, filed since last September, in Houston Federal Court, by attorneys representing former CIA operative Edwin P. Wilson and the United States Department of Justice. As strange as it may seem, FTW assures you that there is a document on file or an on-the-record quote to support everything we now tell you. According to Barcella, who gave a detailed interview to FTW for this story, the Judge's ruling raised serious security concerns for the Justice Department. The CIA records issue still needed to be addressed from another angle - and quickly. Wilson's defense had already made the case that the CIA had known and sanctioned the activities for which he was now on trial. That position needed to be countered in the rebuttal phase before the case went to the jury. Time was running out.

Vindication of Arms Merchant Edwin Wilson Edwin Wilson, an arms merchant imprisoned in 1982, was vindicated today by an appeals court which found rampant prosecutorial misconduct in his case. A federal judge Tuesday threw out the 1983 conviction of former CIA operative Edwin Wilson for selling tons of explosives to Libya, finding that prosecutors knowingly used false testimony and hid evidence that supported his defense. U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes' opinion, written Monday but made public Tuesday, vacates Wilson's conviction for selling 20 tons of C-4 plastic explosives to the Libyan government of Col. Muammar Gaddafi. Wilson has been in prison since 1982, serving 52 years for three convictions including the arm sales to Libya. His lawyer thinks the 75-year-old prisoner could now be released if the government doesn't appeal the decision, which was scathing in its condemnation of prosecutorial methods. The judge labeled an affidavit from a former top CIA official "nothing but a lie."

EDWIN POWELL HUBBLE

from an article by
N.U. Mayall
in BIOGRAPHICAL MEMOIRS NAS 41 Courtesy NASA SpaceLink Edwin Hubble, by his inspired use of the largest telescope of his time, the 100 inch reflector on the Mount Wilson Observatory, revolutionized our knowledge of the size, structure, and properties of the universe. Hubble advanced the astronomical horizon on the universe by steps relatively as large in his time as those taken by Galileo in his studies of the solar system, and by the Herschels in their investigations of our own Milky Way stellar system. Edwin Hubble thus became the outstanding leader in the observational approach to cosmology, as contrasted with the previous work that involved much philosophical speculation. Edwin's mother was Virginia Lee James, from Virginia City, Nevada, and his father was John Powell Hubble, from Missouri, where Edwin himself was born in Marshfield on November 20, l889, during a visit of the parents to his grandparents. He liked and read many books, such as novels by Jules Verne and H. Rider Haggard, especially King Solomon's Mines. His father was connected with an insurance company; he had his office in Chicago and settled his family in suburban Wheaton.
