The lowest value of R(A@B) = -0.076 approx., for alpha = 29.93 +Conclusion : Kahre's Renyi information is no information for alpha's for which it can become negative. Quiz: Is it then a disinformation ? -.- +References : In the titles of books and periodicals all words start with a CAP (except for the words like eg: a, the, and, or, in, of, to, with, der). Mathematical Ulterior Motives - the mother of all ulterior sites - thoughts (In 1983-84 I studied Mathematics Education at the University of Georgia. Here are my introductory notes on my planned thesis written May 1984. Unfortunately, I did not get any scholarship from Norway to study math education, so I had to break it off after one year.) A textbook of plausible dialogues … the book has become the major enemy of the Socratic method. It need not be like this! Someone ought to write a book in the same way he teaches a course.
Freudenthal 1973, 108 Some … say that the introduction of heuristic style would require the rewriting of textbooks, and would make them so long that one could never read them to the end. … The answer to this pedestrian argument is: let us try.
Lakatos 1976, 144 What I would like to do, is to construct a set of plausible dialogues that some students (15-17 years old), and their teachers, might like to use instead of the traditional textbook. Some of the characteristics of 'the traditional textbook' are expressed in this review of the most used Norwegian textbook for this age level.
