Hardy quotes some of these early results of Kuttner's in his treatise Divergent series (1949). Maddox, in [1], writes:- ... at the age of only , Kuttner proved a basic theorem in the general theory of trigonometric series, a result delightful for both the deceptive simplicity of its statement and the elegance of its proof. ... Zygmund greatly admired this theorem of Kuttner, which now occupies an honoured place in

Robert Kuttner's False Advertising By Brian Carnell Wednesday, October 11, 2000 Robert Kuttner thinks he's got the voucher movement dead to rights in a Boston Globe article, False Advertising For Vouchers (before going further I should point out that I don't support vouchers either, but for very different reasons than Kuttner). Kuttner points to ads running in New York, very similar to ones running here in Michigan where I live (and where a voucher proposal is on the ballot this election cycle), that points out American children are behind children in many European countries. Vouchers, the ads claim, will solve all that. Wait just a minute says Kuttner that's false advertising. Look at each of these European countries; they are hardly bastions of free market education. In fact they are all, with an exception here and there, completely state run systems (such as Sweden and the Netherlands who come out on top). Just fully fund school systems and everything will be well, Kuttner writes. But Kuttner leaves something out per pupil spending in Europe is not dramatically higher than it is in the United States, even in heavily socialized nations such as Sweden. Americans already spend comparable amounts of money on education as their European counterparts and yet in return get an inferior product (even taking into account Kuttner's generally accurate criticism of the ranking system used in this particular advertisement).

Who Slept At The White House?
by Staff Investigative Journalists, Daily Republican Newspaper WASHINGTON DESK - President Clinton, who denied soliciting contributions for his re-election campaign, proposed 'overnights' for donations of $50,000 and $100,000 for wealthy Democrats, documents in the president's own handwriting reveal. Internal White House memoranda released Tuesday show president Clinton was deeply involved in planning a Clinton-Gore Campaign fund-raising drive by government officials that sold access and a night's stray in the Lincoln Bedroom to major political donors. A January 1995 memorandum in the prsident's handwriting proposed dates for breakfast, lunch or coffee with Clinton for major political backers. Clinton scrawled the following in the margins:   'Yes, pursue all 3 and promptly - and get other names at 100,000 or 50,000 or more...Ready to start overnights right away...' Attorney General, Janet Reno is expected to order a thorough investigation of Clinton's role in the debacle.
