Over the past five and a half years, many people have donated their time and energy to help me build this site from the ground up. Here's where I get to say thanks!
Firstly, thanks to Pierre Comtois and Gregorio Montejo, who have contributed the reviews and analysis that make this site so much more than a cover gallery.
Thanks to Nick Caputo for all his hard work in verifying cover credits. (What, you dodn't know I had a cover credits page? Follow the Data link at left...) Thanks to Bill Pinches and Tom Lammers for their help in compiling the above information, to Cor van Ekelenburg for helping me audit it, and to numerous people for contributing cover scans from their own personal collections:
Mike Costa
, Henry Kujawa, Terry Reed, Anthony Howard, Kevin Hall , Dave Ortman, Bjorn Eklof, Ferran Delgado, Lou Mougin, Hank Kuehl, Robert Caudle, Phil Navock, Erik Elzenaar, Owen Auer, Jeff Judd, Jeanne Burch, Barry Pearl, Andy Lisk, Win Bent, Dan Cusimano, Bill Jourdain, Philip Johnson, Mark Arrand, Sandy Lee, Howard W, Greg H, Henry B, Eric Z, Dan B, David R, Marcus C, the inimitable RHW230, the mysterious "G", and the indescribable CheeksMite!

The paradox is that these people excelled in their chosen fields despite or rather because of the challenges they faced and managed. It seems as if such people as Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Florence Nightingale, etc. worked from their hearts or souls - the place where intellect, spirit, and passion converge within the human self. They dared to be authentic and chose integrity above perfection knowing well that perfection could never be achieved. They obviously contributed to the fields of science and mathematics. However, maybe their greatest contributions were given to the soul of humanity. To learn more about some of the great scientists and mathematicians of history go to the following websites: Thomas Edison http://www.thomasedison.com/

Scuttlebutt Europe #151 - 17 January 2003
Produced by boats.com Europe and Seahorse magazine , Scuttlebutt Europe is a digest of sailing news and opinions, regatta results, new boat and gear information and letters from sailors with a European emphasis. Contributions welcome, send to editor@scuttlebutteurope.com LOUIS VUITTON CUP
Swiss team Alinghi grasped its fourth win in the Louis Vuitton Cup, beating American rival Oracle BMW Racing by 13 seconds. Alinghi holds the best-of-nine series at 4-1, and needs only one more race to go on to challenge Team New Zealand for the America's Cup in February. Oracle skipper New Zealander Chris Dickson said small mistakes had cost his team dearly during the race. "Alinghi did a very good job in passing us then defending their lead...we made some errors that opened the door for them and they took their opportunity," he said. Oracle now face the daunting task of winning the next four races to take the cup.
