This lesson incorporates research and a visual presentation (poster) on the life and times of a famous scientist. This is a weeklong project that will require the students to have access to any pertinent information. Thus, it would be wise to plan this project in conjunction with the librarian/media specialist. A list of scientists can be developed from looking at The New York Public Library Science Desk Reference in relations to a topic that is or has been discussed in class.
