This talking book comes with an interactive ''magic pen'' that works like a hand-held computer mouse pointer. Children can opt to turn the paper pages and listen to the story read with different voices for each character. Or they can interrupt the read-aloud session to play with the magic pen (permanently attached with a wire). They can point the pen tip to any word on a page and hear it pronounced, or touch a picture and hear a sound effect (such as ''Strike one!'' for the baseball bat). Very similar to the popular Living Books computer games, this 10-by-11-inch book is more portable than a home computer. Stories in this set include Lil's Loose Tooth, Richard Scarry's Best Word Book Ever, and Winnie the Pooh in A Sweet Good Morning. The set also includes a paper piano keyboard and map and human anatomy games. Gail Hudson

Short bio
I'm Lohan's dad Professor, Téluq, Université du Québec (Montréal) Adjunct Professor, University of New Brunswick As a researcher, I'm interested in multidimensional databases ( OLAP HOLAP and MOLAP ), collaborative filtering (see inDiscover ), and approximation theory. Applications of my work include e-Commerce and e-Learning. My most recent interests are the filtering and composition of learning objects as well as the application of multidimensional databases in collaboratif filtering. I am currently a professor at the University of Quebec. I was a researcher in the Internet Logic group at NRC . I have been the group leader of the NRC e-Health Research Group, a professor at Acadia University , an industry consultant, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Institut de génie biomédical . I earned my Ph.D. from the École Polytechnique de Montréal and graduated from the University of Toronto. In 2002, I won the Best Paper Award at the CASCON conference organized by IBM for my work on OLAP.

Michel Chasles Having obtained a place in the engineering corps, Chasles decided not to accept it but to give his place to one of his fellow students who was in financial difficulties. At this point Chasles returned to living at home but his father insisted that he join a firm of stockbrokers in Paris. Historique :

He also wrote an extremely important text on geometry showing the power of synthetic geometry. In his text in 1852 Chasles discusses cross ratio, pencils and involutions, all notions which he introduced. In fact independently introduced the cross ratio. A second text, (1865), applied these techniques to conic sections. The principle of duality occurs throughout his work which was carried on by Steiner Chasles was the victim of a celebrated fraud paying the equivalent of 20,000 pounds for various letters from famous men of science and others which turned out to be forged.
