The witness does not always know in advance where his testimony will lead and what will be done with words and sentences that he wrote or spoke. Far reaching surprises can occur in the conclusions drawn from the evidence, from a professional report or an arbitration decision as will be described below. These surprises are not necessarily for the good; more than that some damaging conclusions can be drawn regarding a person who only acted as an expert or arbitrator and was not a plaintiff or a defendant. Moreover, this occurrence can be part of an acceptable legal procedure where the person damaged is not a side and his voice is not heard. These damaging conclusions can be as strong as if they are chiseled in rock since they are a part of the verdict K. is an outstanding engineer who has been known to me for years and served as an advisor to international bodies, and in the past served in a senior position for a public authority in Israel. Since retirement he is mostly employed as an expert in the areas of his expertise and on more than one occasion the courts have appointed him as their expert. There are numerous verdicts that praise his expertise and credibility. As luck would have it he was appointed as an arbitrator in a very loaded dispute, concerning building defects and monetary squabbles. Despite the difficulties that piled up during the arbitration process, which stemmed from intense rivalry between the sides, K. upheld the arbitration and made his judgment. Up to now, everything was as it should be, but one side in the arbitration felt damaged, and consequently addressed the court and requested that the arbitration be annulled, and in doing so cast a doubt both professionally and personally on Engineer K. The debate in the court was

Never Lose Hope / Dr. Abraham Ben-Ezra
The testimony in the courthouse constitutes an irreversible event, which creates an “on the spot” the impression, for good or for bad. Moreover, the testimony is being continuously documented. Every word is written in the court protocol. The examining lawyer who is the opposing lawyer will strive in no small measure during testimony to present the person being examined in a negative light, and after the testimony this lawyer will analyze the protocol with one clear aim in mind, to dispute the evidence. The opposing lawyer is usually well trained in investigating witnesses and well versed in the secrets of the court arena since the subject of investigation and the refutation of evidence on the basis of his profession and as an integral part of his work routine but all this is usually very foreign to the witness being investigated. The arena consists of the judge who sits on his raised podium, raised from the people literally. In the center of the arena stands the “victim” that is the witness, attacked with a scurry of questions. This arena bears a great deal of similarity to a boxing ring, where one of the competitors knows the rules very well (in this case the investigating lawyer) and the other does not know them so well. Furthermore, the competitor who knows the rules (the lawyer) has the right for the first strike at the beginning of each round and usually the sympathy of the judge is given to the one who knows the rules; the one who has the right to strike first. And they accumulate points.

In his native land he had already gained the reputation of a distinguished poet and thinker; but, apart from his poems, his works, which were all in the Hebrew language , were written in the second period of his life. With these works, which cover in the first instance the field of Hebrew philology and Biblical exegesis, he fulfilled the great mission of making accessible to the Jews of Christian Europe the treasures of knowledge enshrined in the works written in Arabic which he had brought with him from Spain His grammatical writings, among which Moznayim (

    A) GENERAL
Abraham ben Meir ibn Ezra. Aben Ezra. Abu Ishaq Ibrahim ibn al-Majid. Abenare, Avenare. Abraham Judaeus. Born in Toledo about 1089-1092. He translated from Arabic into Hebrew three treatises on grammar by Judah Hayyuj (second half of the tenth century), Rome 1140; two treatises on astrology by Mashallah, before 1148; al-Biruni's commentary on al-Khwarizmi's tables, Narbonne 1160. The last mentioned is known only through Ibn Ezra's version. Ibn Ezra's mind was a strange mixture of rationalism and mysticism. His writings show his deep interest in magic squares and the mystical properties of numbers. He explained a decimal system of numeration: the first nine letters of the Hebrew alphabet, plus a circle for the zero, with place value. Problems involving the product of complex fractions. Account of the regula infusa ben Solomon, to solve equations. For example, given m(ax + b) + c = let ax + b = y then my + c = y = -c/m ax + b = -c/m which can easily be solved. One of the earliest forms of the traditional arithmetical problem known as "Turks and Christians." Combinations of n things taken r at a time. Ibn Ezra knew that C(n,r) = C(n, n-r)
