The author highlights the steadfastness of truth and its strength in front of false tyranny represented in the personality of Hajjaj, whom Allah had taken mercy away from his heart. He would not be satisfied except from the killing of Muslims and Companions of the Messenger in there thousands. The most prominent among them was Abdullah Ibn Zubayr, may Allah be pleased with him.

I TINERARY I Click on the map for desired destination Neightbouring cities and towns Marrakech Sidi Bou Othman Aghmat Tinmel Chichaoua Essaouira Safi The historical network presented here can easily be followed today using the national roads. The route sets off from Marrakech, the capital city of both the Almoravid and Almohad empires (from the eleventh to the thirteenth centuries). It encompasses, in the west, the two Atlantic ports, Safi and Essaouira, and in the south, the Upper Atlas with Aghmat as the first step up to the mountains, and Tinmel as the last point of historical reference. Another reference point, albeit exclusively archaeological, is Sidi Bou Othman in the north.
Marrakech
Marrakech Situated in the Haouz Plain, Marrakech stands at the crossroads to a network of communication routes, a situation responsible for its historical role as a site of interchange. The first nucleus of this city, founded by the Saharans and the Almoravids around 1070, was to turn into the metropolis of an empire in the space of a generation. At the beginning of the twelfth century, Ali Ibn Yusuf developed the city by supplying it with water, by paving its streets and by building the mosque that continues to bear his name and which was to become the principal centre of Marrakech's urban sprawl. In 1127 he surrounded the city with a 9-km wall which is still intact today. Under the Almohads Marrakech, together with its fortified citadel, became the most important city in the Muslim West. The capital of an empire encompassing the entire Maghreb and Muslim Spain, it owed its prosperity above all to a lucrative transsaharan commerce.

I- Early Islamic Illustrations
Although the extent to which the early Islamic dynasties depend upon their pre-Islamic past was limited, this was much less true for the natural sciences like physics, mathematics, medicine, astronomy, botany, and chemistry. There are records of the Umayyad Caliphs' attempts to obtain scientific manuscripts of Byzantium, Iran or India. Under the Abbasids in Baghdad, this movement gained strength (800's). Persian, Egyptian, North African, Spanish and Central Asian (Samanid library) manuscripts were the results of the learnings of the dispersed Abbasid Court. The following illustrations are mostly from these scientific books. There are also illustrations of Kalila wa Dimna and some Persian fables of the same era. Wash-basin in the form of a peacock

Final Moments of a grand living
Imam Abu Yusuf’s rahmatullahi alaihi humble beginnings in the path of knowledge mirror what many
young Muslims suffer today from parental displeasure at occupying oneself in acquiring the sacred knowledge of Islam, at the detriment of one’s secular studies or in pursuing a career. Imam Abu Yusuf rahmatullahi alaihi had a great passion for studying at a young age, however his father wanted his son to occupy himself in mastering some trade in order to make ends meet. The Imam followed his father’s wishes, but as soon as he was free of his days work he would scurry along to the circles of learning of the scholars. At first, as the Imam puts it: ‘I would go to the scholar Ibn Abi Layla rahmatullahi alaihi, who recognised my potential, however when some issue would arise he would get it solved by Imam Abu Hanifah rahmatullahi alaihi. Because of this, deep down in my heart I wanted to study with the Imam and benefit from him, but hurting the feelings of Ibn Abi Layla rahmatullahi alaihi prevented me. Eventually, I did start to frequent the circles of Abu Hanifah rahmatullahi alaihi; Once when I was present in his circle, my father appeared and forcibly escorted me back home with him. At home he explained, ‘Son! Allah has made Abu Hanifah rahmatullahi alaih content about his livelihood, he is wealthy and rich - you are poor and needy, why do you wish to be like him? You should worry about gaining a livelihood.’’

Hospitals in Islamic History Dr Hossam Arafa The capital of the Islamic caliphate empire kept changing from one dynasty to another. In each capital, an important medical center developed. Thus, by the end of the 13th century, there were many medical centers spread throughout the Arab world. As this is an expansive subject in history, Space does not allow the description of all the hospitals built throughout these centuries. We, therefore, have chosen some of the important institutions, which will be described according to the region where they were developed in. Ash-Sham Ash-Sham at that time included what is known now as Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine., Damascus and Jerusalem were the important cities.

Sonra Hasan Can'ın kulağına eğilir. "Vasiyyetim olsun!" buyurur "Bu çamurlu kaftan kabrimin üstüne serile!" Ve öyle de olur.

Ahmet Þemseddin, Tokatlý’dýr. Annesi, Ýbn-i Küpeli’nin kýzý Yusuf Sinaneddin hazretlerinin yeðenidir.
