The Physics of Cows
(Presented as a lecture by man in lab coat with a blackboard)
Cows have a very high surface tension. Surface tension can be seen in water, in the way pond-skaters are able to skim across the surface of a body of liquid without sinking, and also in the way drops of water always tend towards spherical shape. In cows (and meat in general) the surface tension forces them to tend toward the shape of a cube. The forces at work in the cow are finely balanced, just allowing it to maintain cow-shape. However, if 2 cows should be allowed to touch each other, the surface tension will immediately force them to merge. This larger body of meat is unable to maintain its cow form against the surface tension forces now at work, and so will form a Cow Cube, or Cowube, pronounced “COWUUUUBE” with the mass of 2 cows.
The seriousness of the implications of this phenomenon for the dairy industry, and the future of humanity, should not be underestimated. This Cowube, with its 2-cow mass, exerts enough gravitational force to suck in nearby cows of lower mass. As they touch the Cowube, they merge immediately with it, forming a Cowube of ever-increasing mass, exerting ever-increasing gravitational force on cows.
Eventually, this vast and ever-growing cube of meat will implode under its own gravitational force, forming a singularity. This is why, as every astronomer knows, the surface of every black hole is always a cow.

http://taxonomy.zoology.gla.ac.uk/rod/treeview.html
TreeView
Tree drawing software for Apple Macintosh and Windows (and now Linux and Unix TreeView is a simple program for displaying phylogenies on Apple Macintosh and Windows PCs. It has the following features:
  • runs on both the Apple Macintosh and Windows Pcs, using almost identical interfaces
  • reads many different tree file formats (including NEXUS, PHYLIP, Hennig86, NONA, MEGA, and ClustalW/X)
  • supports standard the TrueType and Postscript fonts available on Macs and PCs
  • supports native graphics file format (PICT on Macintosh, Windows metafile on Windows) for copying pictures into other applications, and for saving graphics files
  • print preview
  • can print multiple trees per page, and one tree over more than one page
  • has drag-and-drop facility for easy opeing of files
  • Web-based online help
  • tree editor
TreeView provides a simple way to view the contents of a NEXUS, PHYLIP, Hennig86, Clustal, or other format tree file. While PAUP and MacClade have excellent tree printing facilities, there may be times you just want to view the trees without having to load the data set they were generated from. The PHYLIP package contains tree drawing programs which offer a greater variety of trees than TreeView, but are somewhat clumsy to use. The forthcoming PAUP* for Windows does not have a graphical interface, hence TreeView allows you to create publication quality trees from PAUP files, either directly, or by generating graphics files for editing by other programs.

Editors Abstracted/Indexed in Citation ... Science Direct Interest in phylogenetic relations and in reconstructing the history of life is experiencing a dramatic renaissance, perhaps comparable only to that of the Darwinian revolution near the turn of the last century. To encourage this renaissance, Zoology strives to provide a common forum where all aspects of zoology are presented from an explicitly comparative perspective. The journal invites papers that take a comparative approach to biogeography, ecology, behavior, morphology, development, physiology, cell biology, and genetics. By providing a wide stage, Zoology intends to promote an interdisciplinary approach to the understanding of animal form, function, development, and evolution. The editors and editorial board are also committed to remaining flexible enough to adjust to the ever changing field of animal biology. Recognizing the increasing importance of rapid, effective, international communication, Zoology will offer
