Where possible, innovative ways of accomplishing necessary tasks and missions are sought that result in the reduction or elimination of waste streams. P2 principles will reduce costs associated with the procurement, management, disposal, transportation, and treatment of hazardous material and waste. In addition, P2 activities will reduce cost of complying with environmental laws and reduce risk of noncompliance.
In order to implement P2 initiatives, Fort Buchanan is committed to an active policy of protecting the environment through the following efforts: a. Providing a clean and safe environment in our community.
