Paleontology is the study of ancient organisms, and Invertebrate Paleontology is the study of ancient invertebrates, typically defined as any organisms without backbones, excluding plants and all those bacteria. The study of invertebrate fossils has been a strong component of the Wooster geology curriculum since its beginning. The first paleontologist on Wooster's faculty was Richard Liebe, who taught at Wooster from 1961 through 1967. Dr. Liebe's specialty was the systematics and biostratigraphy of conodonts. Richard Osgood was the faculty paleontologist at Wooster from 1967 until his death in 1981. He achieved international recognition for his pioneering work on invertebrate trace fossils, particularly those in the Lower and Middle Paleozoic. Since 1981 Wooster's paleontologist has been Mark Wilson, who specializes in the evolution and paleoecology of hard substrate faunas, with additional interests in early carbonate diagenesis and Pleistocene sea-level dynamics. Evidence against evolution and for creation in the fields of astronomy, biology, geology, paleontology, physics Easyreading format.
http://www.case-creation.org.uk
Welcome, to www.case-creation.org.uk this page provides two links, one to the A Case For Creation web-site, and the other to the Water-Of-Life site. In the latter case you will be redirected to www.water-of-life.org.uk
The two links below provide some information about what is to be found at the two sites. Follow the links by clicking on the picture above them.
A Case For Creation
This site answers the question "Who made the world?" in a scientific manner.
Who made the world
Who was it who made the world sir?
A bang brought creation about.
Who set off the explosion, Sir?
Did this bang make you deaf, Sir?
It happened a long time ago.
How do you know it happened , Sir? A man in a book told me so. Who was the man in the book ,Sir? A man who looked up in the sky. How do you know that he knew, Sir? Who was it made me and you , Sir? A creature crept out of the sea. Who was it made the creature, Sir? The creature just happened to be. Why did it creep from the sea, Sir? It thought it was time for a change. How did it grow arms and legs, Sir? I know, it sounds awfully strange.

I-170 Pennsylvanian exposure This site is a Paleontological research project based in
St. Louis, Missouri, devoted to the study of the geological
formations in Missouri. Primary focus is the study of the
geological formations in the St. Louis area.
The fossils are grouped by formation:
Pennsylvanian Fossils of Missouri

I-170 Pennsylvanian Exposure in St. Louis
The I-170 Pennsylvanian Exposure in St. Louis, Missouri

This link takes you to a discussion by Dr. Norman R. King, Professor of Geology at the University of Southern Indiana, about the rocks exposed at the I-170 highway cut. Dr. King describes the rock units and correlates them with rock units elsewhere in the Midcontinent region. He interprets their environments of deposition, and also places them in the context of larger-scale geological processes taking place in the Midcontinent region and around the globe during the Pennsylvanian Period.

TRAVEL ALERT: Red Gulch Dinosaur Tracksite Temporarily Closed
At BLM's Red Gulch Dinosaur Tracksite, you can imagine yourself walking along an ocean shoreline 167 million years ago with dozens of other dinosaurs, looking to pick up a bite of lunch from what washed up on the last high tide. The ground is soft and your feet sink down in the thick ooze, leaving a clear footprint with every step you take. The discovery of rare fossil footprints on public lands near the Red Gulch/Alkali National Back Country Byway close to Shell, Wyoming, could alter current views about the Sundance Formation and the paleoenvironment of the Middle Jurassic Period. If you have comments or need more information about the Tracksite, please write to:
