Dynamical Systems and Fractals This is an announcement of a new interdisciplinary course at Oklahoma State University on symbolic and analytic dynamics, with an overview of fractal geometry. Announcement: The course was completed in early May, 1996. The lecture notes run to about 175 pages when processed by LaTeX, but the complete outline was not filled in. We hope to enhance the chapters on real and complex iteration in subsequent iterations of this course, as well as add new topics. A special thanks to my students!.
