74. Andrea Gigli - Quantitative Finance Page
Provides resources on quantitative finance, financial econometrics, statistical methods for finance and computer code for running finance oriented applications.
http://www.giglia.it/
Welcome to Andrea Gigli's Quantitative Finance web page. Here you can find a lot of resources about quantitative finance, financial econometrics, statistical methods for finance and computer code for running finance oriented applications. The aim of this site is to provide a starting point for those looking for free quantitative finance resources on the net, whatever their use will be. I am trying to unify the most referenced page in the following links and I hope that many of you which visit this page help me in improving it, suggesting page shortcomings or additional links. After having included some information about myself (my CV, my Research and my Courses), a section is dedicated to interesting finance meetings, workshops, conferences, seminars, especially in Europe, while "Favourite Links" represents the core of the web site. There is still something to fix, anyway I hope you enjoy it!

Software tools for the weightless-economy frontier
(Sure lots of software tools collections already exist out there. I have put here those I think useful to applied economists. For the curious, yes, I do all my work on GNU/Linux.) The Open Source Software movement describes some of the underlying ideas here. Also of interest might be the Halloween documents . Neal Stephenson provides, as usual, amusing and useful insights in an essay In the beginning was the command line , different from the book Cryptonomicon proper. (As a convenience for the reader, the uncompressed text for the essay can also be read here Technical economic research relevant for Open Source Software concerns intellectual property rights , individual incentives and corporate strategies, productivity, and the weightless economy Writing

Fortran Programs
An historical QUAIL archive (loaded Apr-01). The last time this code was run was in 1990 on a CDC. It would be very rare indeed to find that someone still has a functional CDC 6400 with a Fortran compiler capable of compiling this code! This is source code for QUAIL, release 4. QUAIL was developed by Daniel McFadden and a team of programmers at the University of California, Berkeley in the early 1970s, and is the ancestor of today's programs that do qualitative choice analysis (e.g., multinomial logit). We offer a zip archive or a tarfile for download, with the caveat, of course, that we cannot support the code. Keh-Shin Lii and Mark Lehr (loaded Jul-98).
