Andrew L. Schnitgen Hello there. It appears that you have found my web page. I'm not even sure why I have a web page. I suppose I created it for one reason. I'm guessing that you probably are interested in learning more about me without asking me directly. Understandable. I have recently graduated with University Honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a Colloids, Polymers, and Surfaces Option . I am also an alumnus of the Delta Xi chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. Anyway, I'm not one to write much about myself, so if you are interested in knowing something else, you'll just have to ask me. My resume. (As of 1/1/97) How to contact me... Last updated 7/11/97.

Welcome to our History of chemical engineering. We think you will like what youfind Welcome to our History of chemical engineering Chemical Technology.
http://www.pafko.com/history/h_intro.html
Welcome to our Our goal is to bring you a history of chemical engineering that encompasses its conceptual origins in Great Britain , subsequent struggle for survival in the United States , and concludes with a cornucopia of contributions made in this Century. Along the way, many tables and figures help illustrate the growth and change in the chemical industry , the chemical engineering profession , and its educational infrastructure Some questions we hope to examine include What is chemical engineering How, and why, did chemical engineering develop What obstacles did the profession face and overcome What contributions have chemical engineers made How has the profession grown and changed over the last Century While the following documents cover a fair amount of ground, it is important to keep in mind that this is only a brief tour of this topic which leaves many important events untouched . If you find our short history interesting and informative we hope you will continue to explore the subject , as there are many excellent sources available . In any case, we hope to hear your

Nature of the Work Employment Job Outlook Earnings ... Sources of Additional Information
Nature of the Work About this section Back to Top Chemical engineers build a bridge between science and manufacturing, applying the principles of chemistry and engineering to solve problems involving the production or use of chemicals. They design equipment and develop processes for large-scale chemical manufacturing, plan and test methods of manufacturing products and treating byproducts, and supervise production. Chemical engineers also work in a variety of manufacturing industries other than chemical manufacturing, such as those producing electronics, photographic equipment, clothing, and pulp and paper. They also work in the healthcare, biotechnology, and business services industries. The knowledge and duties of chemical engineers overlap many fields. Chemical engineers apply principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, and mechanical and electrical engineering. (See
