122. Cornell Plant Biology
Represents both basic and applied research areas ranging from biophysics and molecular biology through physiology, plant systematics and ecology.
http://www.plantbio.cornell.edu/
Plant Biology Welcomes You!
Students in the Field of Plant Biology represent diverse interests in Plant Biology and come from a wide range of cultural, ethnic and educational backgrounds. There are presently about 50 students in the Field of Plant Biology (and many others in related plant biology fields).
@ Cornell.edu
The Cornell campus
is located in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region of central New York. The campus is situated on a hill overlooking the city of Ithaca and Cayuga Lake, one of the largest Finger Lakes. The area around Ithaca is a spectacular mixture of lakes, deep gorges (there are two surrounding the campus), woods and fields. Ithaca is a city of about 30,000 residents, but with the proximity of Cornell, it boasts many cultural amenities that are found only in much larger cities. The area is also ideal for those interested in outdoor activities including hiking, boating and skiing (both downhill and cross-country). The University also provides a great diversity of student activities that cater to virtually all tastes, and there is a

Special Appearances WE want to welcome you to our website home, the home of Moose Peterson and Wildlife Research Photography. We started this website 9 years ago for one very simplistic reason, to furnish wildlife photographers with as much information as we can provide so you can make the most of your photographic pursuits. Much has changed over those nine years besides just the website design! I was shooting with the F4e when I first launched the site. The F5 came along and the website exploded with content. Now, it's all digital and I love it! The digital information on our website is not your normal digital content. Curves, pixels, test patterns and the like won't be found on moose395.net. The reason, while I need to know that trivia, I'm a photographer and all of my tests derive from real world situtations. My results then are 100% baised by the person behind the camera. The information I have on the website are user reports. I highly recommend you read them carefully AFTER you've looked at the images (with a calibrated monitor) and think it all through to get the most of all that's available here.

The Division on Earth and Life Studies (DELS) consists of fifteen units that facilitate communication among the research community, policy makers, industry, interest groups, and the public. DELS is responsible for a vast array of topics, ranging from the molecular level (e.g., biotechnology) to the global level (e.g., climate change). The common thread linking the units is the broad topic of science and the environment, but the division also examines issues outside that area. Links to the units are provided below. A novel mediator of ErbB2-dependent cell motility has been identified by Nancy Hynes and colleagues. Memo, which interacts with ErbB2 via the adaptor protein Shc, seems to be specifically required for microtubule outgrowth during migration of breast carcinoma cells.

The Notch and JAK-STAT signalling pathways have overlapping roles in the regulation of cell fate. Gotoh and colleagues now show that the Notch effector protein Hes also facilitates JAK-STAT complex formation, and that this crosstalk between the pathways is important for glial-cell differentiation.

What's new?
ISB provides now "follow-ups" where the reader can identify articles that were cited in the original article as "submitted" or "in press". They are linked to the menu of the individual paper. One such amendment has been added, for instance, to Kolchanov et al. (2002) In Silico Biol. 2, 0009 where the follow-up points to 2 publications issued later on. How to cite ISB articles? Published online, ISB articles do not have page numbers. It is recommended to use the article numbers instead and to add the URL whenever it is possible. Example: Frech, K., Quandt, K. and Werner, T. (1998). Muscle actin genes: A first step towards computational classification of tissue specific promoters. In Silico Biol. 1, 0005. The Bioinformation Systems e.V.-Team - Feel free to mail us!
