Blessed is the Holy Trinity of Love,
Father, Son, Holy Spirit,
One God and Mother of us all;
and blessed is the reign of God,
now and ever and to the ages of ages. Amen.

  • Alleluia! Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia! Easter is here once more, and in a world of violence we rejoice that Life has risen amongst us. Easter lasts far more than one day; it is a season of fifty Our Easter Liturgy contains a number of allusions to the Easter Sermon of St John Chrysostom. See our version of the sermon here ; it is based on this text Mustard Bush has settled well into our new home at Kennedy Terrace Uniting Church; we commenced worshipping there on 13 January. The congregation at Paddington has given us a warm welcome, and we are grateful to them and to the minister there, Rev Yvonne McRostie. The church is located at 127 Kennedy Tce (on the corner of Stack St), Paddington.

Churches inching towards uniting
July 16 2003 By Barney Zwartz Religious Affairs Writer More than 200 years after the Methodists split from the Anglican Church, the churches yesterday took the first step towards a possible union in Australia. The triennial assembly of the Uniting Church of Australia has agreed to "take all possible and necessary steps" towards a covenant of association and intercommunion with the Anglican Church. Under the covenant, each church would recognise each other's ministers and even share ministers, services and resources. Both churches are also holding similar discussions with the Lutheran Church in Australia. The Uniting Church, formed in 1977 from Methodist, Congregational and some Presbyterian churches, is Australia's third-largest denomination. ");document.write(" advertisement The Anglican Church, which is the second-largest denomination, approved working towards such a covenant at its last general synod two years ago. Coincidentally, the Church of England made an almost identical covenant on Sunday at its synod in York, following English Methodist approval on July 1.
