If you haven't worshipped with us - come and see if we are what you are looking for.
We are not too big - so you'll find a friendly welcome. In the Reformed tradition we keep things simple - not a rigid liturgy. We believe everyone stands on their own feet before God (without any need for a Priest or Minister as go-between) so you will find us democratic not authoritarian. Augustine United Church Home Diary Newsletter Covenant ... URC Work is now well underway on our Tower Project restoring the top of the tower to its original status (built 1861). This work has been essential not only from a public safety point of view but also to ensure that the building can continue to be used by a wide range of church and community groups. This project is being supported by generous donations from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic Scotland, as well as other smaller grant giving bodies. We are also engaged in another project "Access for All" which will improve access, security and communication within the Church Centre. If you wish to contribute to either of these projects please contact us through the address below. Latest: The Weather Vane was restored on Wednesday 21st April For more photos click here We gather for worship every Sunday at 11.00am. Being in the City Centre makes it easy for visitors to the City to join us. Augustine United Church is centrally situated in the heart of old Edinburgh just off the Royal Mile where the new Scottish Parliament is being temporarily housed. We can be found between the National Library and the National Museum of Scotland on George IV Bridge. The Church Centre is very close to Edinburgh University and also to the tourist area of Edinburgh. We celebrate Communion on the first and third Sundays of each month. We have a Junior Church which meets on most Sundays during School terms. We have an all age service at least once a month.

The United Reformed Church, Saltaire, near Bradford
The United Reformed Church in Saltaire is truly one of the nation's most precious Victorian architectural gems. The church, built in 1859 near Bradford , West Yorkshire, is a unique example of Italianate religious architecture. It boasts many architecturally and historically important features and has been described as a classic "Cathedral of Congregationalism" To preserve Saltaire's United Reformed Church as both a living church and a priceless piece of our heritage, some £ 650,000 has recently been raised for repairs and renovation. These renovations, which have now been completed, have included re-slating one side of the roof and repairing the other, strengthening the foundations at the West end of the church and extensive repairs to the church tower. This Grade I Listed Building (in the same category as Hampton Court Palace and Salisbury Cathedral) lies in the valley of the River Aire, at the foot of the Pennine Moors of Bronte Country and at the entrance to the Yorkshire Dales . Paid for out of his own pocket by Sir Titus Salt, the church is a focal point of the "model" village he built for the workers at his huge mill to ensure their spiritual needs were catered for. Sir Titus commissioned architects Lockwood and Mawson to design the building, as they had a number of other important Italianate buildings in

Welcome to West Park URC Harrogate
We are part of the United Reformed Church in the United Kingdom The Church is linked by a joint pastorate to Bilton Grange URC about one mile to the north east.
With our Minister, Bob Heathcote we are looking forward to the challenges ahead. The members are in good heart and trust that, with God's guidance, the pastorate will continue to grow in numbers, spirit and in service to our Lord and to those around us.
Where to find us
The Church stands close to the town centre on the corner of Victoria Avenue and West Park overlooking part of the 200 acres of green space known as The Stray. West Park URC Built in August 1862, it was the first non-conformist church in Harrogate to be designed in the neo-Gothic style and is a Grade II listed building. Several years ago the pulpit area of the sanctuary was modernised to allow a more flexible area for worship. Harrogate, one of England's floral towns , is situated in the heart of North Yorkshire and is equidistant from London, Edinburgh, the East and West coasts. The town has a rich spa heritage and a modern role as a cosmopolitan visitor and conference venue.
West Park URC today
We are a fellowship committed to the care of our members and friends, whilst, at the same time, conscious of our responsibilities in serving the wider community.

United Reformed Church (Great Britain) issues statement opposed to war March 18, 2003 On behalf of the United Reformed Church we deeply regret the decision by Her Majesty’s Government to join the United States in a war against Iraq. The United Reformed Church has consistently maintained that war against Iraq could only be accepted as a matter of last resort and that it would need the sanction of the United Nations. In this view we have been joined by most of our ecumenical partners in the United Kingdom and throughout the world. The weapons inspectors have not been allowed to complete their work nor has the United Nations agreed to the use of military force. The present resort to force is morally wrong. The regime of Saddam Hussein is not one we support, and we believe that its holding of weapons of mass destruction represents a threat to the countries in the region and possibly further afield. However, war will only add to the misery of the Iraqi people, who already suffer greatly. We hope and pray that it will be short-lived. We urge Her Majesty's Government to work now with the United Nations, the European Union, non-governmental organisations and other relief agencies to prepare for humanitarian aid to be made available to the people of Iraq at the earliest possible opportunity.
