basics do what? festivals churches ... history I Go to a United Reformed Church I go to a United Reformed Church, usually called a URC. We meet on Sunday morning to worship and praise God. The first part of the service is led by a worship group when we sing modern songs and sometimes older hymns. The group is quite informal and uses a keyboard, guitar and drums. Between the songs we may have Bible readings, prayers or a short talk. The children leave after this to go to "Light Factory" where they have their own teaching. The second part of the service is when we have a sermon, when a passage from the Bible is read and then explained to us. Once or twice a month this is given by our Minister (he looks after 3 other churches) otherwise a member of the church or an invited visitor does it. After the service there is a cup of tea or coffee and a chance to talk to other people in the church. Once a month, on one of the Sundays that our Minister is with us, we have
