We are a thoughtful church of about 50 members with a strong tradition of lay participation in leadership. About half a dozen of our members lead worship in other churches from time to time and quite a few more lead worship within our own church. Members of the church study the Bible and share experiences and pray together to learn more about Jesus Christ and where he leads us. Our minister A gap of nearly three years without a minister came to an end on June 30th 2001 when Rev. Terry Sparks was inducted to serve as minister of Hampton Hill and Twickenham United Reformed Churches. Terry came to us from Edenvale Presbyterian Church, Johannesburg. Before going there he was the minister of churches in Mauritius and Howick, Natal. Terry is no stranger to us though - back in 1994, he, Pauline and their three girls took part in a six month exchange of pastorates with Bob Warwicker who was then our minister - so he knows what to expect! Terry and Pauline's connections with London go back even further - they met while they were students at London Bible College from 1976-79.

London Street United Reformed Church Basingstoke Welcome to our Home Page The Church of Jesus Christ is alive, and the fact that it is established in London Street is a sign of that life. A Church building has stood at this site since 1800, and the people of Basingstoke have continued to meet here to worship God in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. 1800 was a milestone in our journey, not the beginning - that was in 1663 for the congregation which grew into the London Street Church, or, viewed another way, it was in 33 for the Christian Church as a whole. LOW ROW UNITED REFORMED CHURCH (Founded in 1690 by Philip Lord Wharton) Low Row is a village in Swaledale in North Yorkshire. Swaledale is within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and an increasingly popular destination for holiday visitors. Low Row is four miles west of Reeth, and our church building is to the west of the village, on the main road, set within its own churchyard. Sunday Worship is held at 10.30am each Sunday. (The only exceptions being when we share in some ecumenical event with our sister church at Keld or more widely within the dale.) We always aim to provide a welcome for visitors of all ages.
